The 2024 World Architecture Festival (WAF) shortlist has been revealed: it comprises over 480 projects in 71 countries from more than 350 practices. Winning projects will be announced during the live event that will take place in Singapore at Marina Bay Sands from November 6-8, with a full program of keynotes and talks from an international panel of speakers on the theme of ‘Tomorrow’.
This year’s shortlist was selected from 800 entries and celebrates the best new completed buildings and landscapes, as well as the most inspiring future architectural concepts, across 33 categories ranging from residential to transport to retrofit. Additionally, the Inside World Festival of Interiors shortlist was announced, WAF’s sister awards program celebrating the finest examples of global interior design across ten categories.
The judging panel for this year's awards comprises 175 industry experts from 32 countries, including prominent figures such as Kelley Cheng, Sanjay Puri, Mariana Simas, Sonali Rastogi, Mario Cucinella, Emre Arolat, Ian Ritchie, Charu Kokate, Yael Reisner, Sir Peter Cook, and Nigel Coates.
