Based in the heart of Paris, the VIGUIER architecture studio, founded by the renowned Jean-Paul Viguier, is a key name in contemporary architecture in both France and internationally. With branch offices in Brussels and Casablanca, and a diverse team of 70 professionals from 15 different nations, VIGUIER stands out for its ability to combine respect for tradition with an unrelenting drive for innovation.

VIGUIER’s approach is distinctly versatile and integrated, combining different skills in an accueil that operates as an ideas workshop. The studio doesn’t restrict itself to responding to conventional architectural needs, but constantly explores new horizons, creating architecture that is both innovative and sustainable. By collaborating with experts and professionals in various sectors, VIGUIER oversees the design process with a complete vision of the entire architectural ecosystem, boldly and precisely addressing the challenges imposed by changing lifestyles, environmental issues, and technological progress.

VIGUIER’s portfolio includes a wide range of projects, such as the 1992 Seville Pavilion, the Sofitel Chicago Water Tower Hotel, the McNay Art Museum in San Antonio, and the Morocco Telecom tower. These projects not only reveal the studio’s sense of elegance and style, but have also significantly transformed the urban environments in which they are located, as evidenced by the Coeur Défense, Majunga, and Aurore towers, which have redefined the La Défense skyline in Paris.

VIGUIER has demonstrated both its versatility and commitment to sustainability through urban regeneration projects, such as Muse in Metz and Lyon Confluence, and through smaller, but equally significant projects, such as the low-tech school in the village of Besely, Madagascar. Created in collaboration with the Écoles du Monde association, this last project is an excellent example of how architecture can respectfully integrate into the environment by using local materials and traditional construction techniques.

The studio incorporates four main divisions: architecture, interior design, urban planning, and landscaping. Each is a part of a multidisciplinary approach that goes beyond simply building spaces to live, work, or entertain. Advanced tools, such as a modeling laboratory, BIM technologies, and 3D computer graphics, allow VIGUIER to prepare detailed visualizations of the finished project, enabling constructive dialogue with clients.

The practice also uses AI and other cutting-edge technologies to develop urban design parameters and, therefore, respond more effectively to the complexities of modern urban studies. Using these tools, VIGUIER is able to provide tailored responses perfectly in line with the universal values of architecture – beauty, utility, and durability – enriching them with a commitment to finding a deeper meaning that imbues its designs with emotion, direction, and purpose.
