The projects in the ‘Health’ category of THE PLAN Award 2021

Innovative systems, very high hygiene standards and maximum flexibility of spaces: more than buildings, hospitals are real machines. However, the technological and health aspect cannot override the architectural quality of the exteriors and interiors, in the interest not only of the urban context but also of the patients and the people who work there. A great challenge for architects, who often find themselves having to reconcile opposing needs, but it is precisely this that makes the design of health centers interesting and highly specialized.

There are 10 shortlisted projects in the ‘Health’ category of THE PLAN Award 2021, between the two sections Completed and Future, coming from all over the world. These works have already passed the first selection phase of the prestigious annual architecture and design award and could be included by the jury among the finalists. However, everyone can vote for their favorite projects in view of the assignment of the Community Wish List Special Prize.
