The projects in the ‘Mixed Use’ category of THE PLAN Award 2021

Services, shops, meeting places, residences: buildings that house a mix of functions are extremely alive at any time of the day. For the designers this implies the complex and challenging theme of reconciling very different needs, in terms of both the layout of the spaces and the technical requirements. The result is an architecture with a particular strength, given precisely by its multifunctionality, capable of becoming central to the urban context to which it belongs.

There are 24 shortlisted projects in the ‘Mixed Use’ category of THE PLAN Award 2021, between the two sections Completed and Future, from all over the world. These works have already passed the first selection phase of the prestigious annual architecture and design award and could be included by the jury among the finalists. However, everyone can vote for their favorite projects in view of the assignment of the Community Wish List Special Prize.
