The Syntonia Palace residential complex was conceived with the aim of offering a contemporary interpretation of living in Rome. Located on Via di Villa Ricotti, in the Nomentano district, the project is an initiative by Praemia REIM Italy SGR, which entrusted the design and overall project management to IPI Management Services, with Impre.DO as general contractor.
The project is presented in a volume curated by THE PLAN Editions, entitled Syntonia Palace. Contemporary Living in the Eternal City, published in Italian with parallel English text.
The newly constructed building replaces a disused structure that previously occupied the site, creating an opportunity for urban regeneration for the surrounding area without entailing additional land consumption. Architectural quality, energy efficiency, and living comfort are the core principles of the design concept—three objectives pursued in constant balance with one another, in harmony, or syntonia, as reflected in the project’s name.
Bordering the gardens of the German Academy, the complex comprises a total of 39 residential units of varying sizes and types, designed to enhance natural light, the relationship with the outdoors, and the quality of everyday living. The development also includes several shared spaces, conceived not merely as service areas but as places for interaction among residents, fostering the creation of a strong sense of community.
