The Green Pavilion: a romantic greenhouse in the heart of Paris
By Editorial Staff -

The Green Pavilion is the name of a work created by Odile Decq for Galerie Philippe Gravier, which it presented at Paris+, the modern and contemporary art exhibition organized by Swiss group Art Basel. The event took place at the Grand Palais Éphémère, Paris, between October 20 and 23.

The Green Pavilion is a small glasshouse with a metal frame that contains different types of plants and a table in the middle. It pays homage to Renaissance greenhouses, with their double role as a place to grow rare plants and, with the addition of a few candles, a place for socializing and romance in the evening. The Green Pavilion will be on display at Jardin des Tuileries until November 5, when it will become available for purchase.

Paris+ par Art Basel

The first Paris+ Par Art Basel, directed by Clément Delépine, saw the participation of 156 French and international galleries. The event, which replaced the historic French exhibition FIAC, had several sections. Besides Galeries, the main section dedicated to modern and contemporary art galleries, and Galeries Émergentes, devoted to emerging artists, it comprised the Conversations conference program and the Sites public art program, which included The Green Pavilion.
