It’s scheduled for November 16 at 7:00 p.m. To live stream the event, to take place at the London showroom of Iris Ceramica Group, register on the Group’s website. The documentary will be followed by a lecture presented by Sergei Tchoban.
Tchoban Voss Architekten was founded in 1931, when architects Herbert Sprotte and Peter Neve joined forces. With the baton passed to various professionals since then, the studio has continued to push the boundaries of architecture, always maintaining a focus on the contemporary.
There was a turning point between 1970 and ’74, when Alf M. Prasch, Wolfgang Nietz, and Peter Sigl brought a new generation of architects to the helm along with a new vision of the practice. Sergei Tchoban and Ekkehard Voss became managing partners in ’95, each after many years’ involvement in important projects at an international level, including in the Middle East. They gave the practice its current name in 2017 to reflect the major changes they brought with them as heads of the firm. Today, with offices in Hamburg, Berlin, and Dresden, and a highly skilled, interdisciplinary team of over 180 professionals, the firm continues to shape the built environment, working with both public and private clients around the world.
Today, Tchoban Voss Architekten boasts a portfolio of innovative, low-environmental impact projects throughout Germany and around the world. In its many years of experience, the team has tackled different types of projects, from residential to commercial, hospitality, offices, industrial facilities, schools, and recreational buildings. The studio also focuses on the restoration and revitalization of historical buildings.
“Before embarking on a new construction project, we always approach the specific urban situation as something unique and valuable in itself,” said Sergei Tchoban and Ekkehard Voss. “This is what produces unique architectural solutions. The surrounding urban context guides us to the best possible result, which may be contrasting or discreet, massive or light and delicate.”
