The outdoor solutions showcased at Salone del Mobile 2025, which hosted 2,103 exhibitors from 37 countries and closed with 302,548 visitors, confirm the ongoing pursuit of a perfect balance between comfort, aesthetics and durability. Driven by a growing collective awareness of the role outdoor living plays in supporting people’s physical and mental well-being, the world of outdoor furniture draws inspiration from the natural environment on one side and interior design on the other, envisioning spaces where one can feel at home while also reconnecting with nature.

Pratic presented a “concept-pergola” that elevates the versatility of solar shading, turning it into a reflection of the world around us: a symbol of the pursuit of tailor-made, customized outdoor solutions and, at the same time, of the company’s ability to realize them through advanced production techniques. The bioclimatic pergola with overlapping blades, Carrera, was the centerpiece of the “Reflections of You” exhibition, curated by Marco Viola Studio in collaboration with Pratic. For the Salone del Mobile 2025, Carrera was reinterpreted with a new chrome finish developed specifically for the occasion.
Pratic also showcased Set, the custom modular platform that uses a compensation system to achieve a flat surface even on sloped terrain, and the Glass Series, a collection of panoramic glass walls designed to shield pergolas and outdoor spaces from rain, wind, and UV rays. The Glass Series is available in three versions: Slide Glass 60, with a rail sliding system; Fix Glass, consisting of fixed panels; and Door Glass, a hinged door with no perimeter frames, available in single or double configurations.
Finally, Living Series, a line of accessories developed specifically for outdoor use and made with resistant, durable materials, includes the ornamental Drapes curtains and the Mod-Lines furnishing element, which enables the creation of equipped walls combining glass and aluminum shelves, drawers, and open modules, also integrable with LED lighting.
Sunbrella brought its latest textile collections for indoor and outdoor furnishings to Milan: the elegant, classic-style Timeless; the more contemporary On the Road, inspired by natural landscapes; and the innovative Endless Stories, which uses recycled materials.
Timeless stands out for its texture enhanced by a wide color palette. The collection includes 94 references in four ranges: Cliff, enriched with mottled yarns for a unique and authentic look; Stripes Canyon, with a contemporary stripe pattern; Solids and Natté, now available in new color variants.
On the Road reflects travel stories with nature-inspired tones and sophisticated patterns, striking a perfect balance between timeless hues and vibrant shades. This collection features 78 references, divided into nine ranges: Wadi, with a new rounded structure; Tundra and Savane, with artisanal weaves; Lopi, offering a knit-like effect; Khaïma, a bouclé fabric highlighted by a bold stripe; Wander, with a tweed-like texture; and Carat, Yama, and Territory, jacquards with unique and distinctive patterns.
Made from production scraps, Endless Stories reinforces Sunbrella’s commitment to environmental protection: the fabrics in this collection incorporate up to 50% recycled fibers. Endless Stories comprises 34 color variations divided into four ranges: Heritage, the original collection range, now expanded with new colors; Source, with a texture similar to Natté; Slow, featuring a knitted yarn weave intersecting with recycled warp yarns; and Harvest, which combines recycled yarns and bouclé.
All Season by Protezioni, born from the desire to enjoy outdoor spaces year-round, protected from all weather conditions, is a new category of fully sealed, insulating, and panoramic covers: the first to effectively resist wind, rain, and snow loads.
Nubes is the All Season cover with a minimal and sloping design, made with an aluminum structure, available in three versions: Nubes Mob, the mobile roof version; Nubes Fix, the fixed version—both available in cellular polycarbonate, laminated glass, and sandwich panel versions. Additionally, there is Nubes TT, an innovative fixed-roof cover with thermal break and thermal fixtures, which can be enhanced with laminated glass, double-glazing, and sandwich panel.
The Pareo range unites innovation and versatility in a screen that doubles as a protective barrier and divider: Pareo Up is a telescopic barrier in tempered glass, designed for use on ground level or elevated settings below one meter; Pareo Floor is a fixed divider in tempered glass, meant exclusively for ground installation; and Pareo Top is a fixed fence in laminated glass, ideal for installation on low walls and raised surfaces. In Milan, Protezioni also presented Pareo Up Balaustra, the only guardrail with safety glass that extends up to two and a half meters in height thanks to its patented telescopic system.
Lastly, the Visio panoramic glass wall is a perimeter closure with no vertical profiles, made of tempered glass and aluminum structure, available in customized colors and in sliding (Visio Flow) or folding (Visio Fold) versions.
At this year’s Salone, Fermob introduced its first open-air kitchen, Goosto, featuring a stone-effect HPL countertop on an aluminum frame. Available from September in Cactus and Ocre Rouge colors, it comes in three configurations: the Indispensable, the Gourmande, and the Généreuse. Additionally, following the lounge versions, the Croisette collection now extends to the dining area with new chairs and armchairs designed by Pascal Mourgue, available from October in Cérise noire, Cactus, Gris argile, and Réglisse.
Regarding the indoor sector, in Milan Fermob presented the new Nuage desk, combining an oak veneered top with steel legs, and the new Picolino console for indoor and outdoor use in folded steel sheet—following the planter and wall shelf from the same collection. Both will be available starting September 2025 in 25 colors. For interiors, the Studie seating collection by Tristan Lohner—originally in full metal and inspired by school chairs—will also be available from January 2026 in stained wood, oak, and fabric, in four colors: Cérise noire, Bleu abysse, Réglisse, and Bleu maya.
Back to the outdoors, there are also new lighting options: Yunos, Fermob’s first solar streetlamp with Hellenistic traits, and the new monochromatic version of the ULLI lamp. Available in Cérise noire, Romarin, Gris argile, and Pain d’épices, Yunos features a 180 cm high tripod holding a light basin equipped with XXL solar panels, combining power and extended autonomy. ULLI Monochrome reinvents the soul of old oil lamps and will be available in three enchanting shades—Bleu Alysse, Cactus, and Piment—starting in June.
Capital and Atmosphera, with their new collections, explore the concept of Box in the Box, born from an idea of spatial layering, modularity, and transformation, creating a fluid narrative between interiors and exteriors, structure and lightness.
Capital, known for its tailored detailing and selection of fine materials, expresses the Box in the Box concept by encapsulating a microcosm of elegance and innovation in each piece. The Helena coffee table features clean lines with glossy metal details, while the Merian side tables and serving tables stand out for their cylindrical, monolithic, edgeless forms; the Flora armchair, designed by Margherita Fanti, is defined by soft, enveloping shapes and timeless elegance, just like the Clori collection furniture, also by Fanti.
Among the highlights of Atmosphera’s 2025 collection is the Pantagruel round table, with a glazed lava stone top and solid aluminum base, ideal for long outdoor dinners. The Panama 3-seater sofa invites relaxation with its soft and generous curves, while the Pipe 3-seater reinterprets the collection’s design with a minimal structure of teak and braided rope.
Rounding out the brand’s offerings are the Capri table, with refined surfaces reflecting natural light; the Heritage table, with sculpted details enhancing material authenticity; and the Materia side tables, which play with textures and reflections, creating a dialogue between solidity and lightness.
The centerpiece of Varaschin’s stand was the modular Emma Collection sofa, designed by Monica Armani to offer maximum versatility in creating personalized configurations. A distinctive feature of the sofa, as well as the rest of the collection, is the handmade weave: a handcrafted detail available in three tones—beige, rust, and dark grey—to suit different aesthetics and color preferences. The frame is made of powder-coated aluminum or iroko wood to ensure durability and weather resistance.
Also by Monica Armani is the new iroko collection Gianna, which includes a lounger, sofa, coffee table, pedestal table, dining table, and matching armchairs. In the designer’s words, “Gianna interprets the archetype of outdoor wooden products with a new essential and sophisticated language, combining iroko with a distinctive woven mat that lends visual lightness and character to the design”.
Designed by Alberto Apostoli, the Wellness Therapy collection includes the Relax Lounger, ergonomic and suitable for any indoor or outdoor environment, and the Comfort Bed, which stands out for its modular and customizable structure, able to meet a range of needs from spa treatments to lounge relaxation.
The Relax Lounger features a metal frame and base available in nine finishes; for the padded seat and covers, one can choose from Varaschin’s outdoor fabric categories. The Comfort Bed can be installed on Sasso element, plexiglass, or feet. In particular, the Sasso element is also available with a Corian Touch top, equipped with chromotherapy, aromatherapy, music diffusion, and food warming functions, offering a multisensory and regenerating experience further enhanced by an integrated luminous ring on the sides.
