A specialist in roofing, facade, safety, and waterproofing systems, Alpewa developed Matt35 to deliver enhanced scratch and abrasion resistance, long-term aesthetic stability, and advanced weather and UV protection. Suitable for roofs, facades, rainwater systems, flashing, and coping, these prepainted steel panels are a significant advancement, especially in challenging environments.

High-performance and durable, the panels feature a particle-modified coating. This specialized finish provides greater protection against mechanical stress while increasing resistance to scratching, UV radiation, and corrosion. All these factors position Matt35 within the premium segment of prepainted building materials. Central to this performance is the coating, which is applied to a thickness of 35 µm on both sides of the steel coil. This defines many of the product’s core properties, beginning with its durability and performance. Applying the coating to both sides ensures symmetrical and continuous protection, which is particularly effective in sheet metal fabrication where bends and cut edges are most vulnerable.

The coating’s thickness meets real-world construction site demands, ensuring high performance throughout the building envelope’s lifecycle. Two-sided stratigraphy further elevates protection levels. Composed of a topcoat, primer, and pretreatment applied to a galvanized steel substrate, this layer functions as a composite barrier with the 275 g/m² zinc coating. Together, these attributes ensure long-term reliability while reducing maintenance demands and enhancing safety.

Low thermal expansion is another key characteristic, ensuring long-term system stability, while the product also resists high wind and snow loads. Sustainability and environmental impact are also important features, with Matt35 manufactured using chromium-free processes.

The greentec steel version reduces the carbon footprint by up to 65 percent, providing architects with an effective tool to meet ESG objectives and comply with green building codes.

Ultimately, Matt35 combines durability, aesthetic quality, and environmental responsibility.
