Leaving scope for light to be the star of a campus, university lecture hall, historic building tower or private villa, Erreci Architecture, the division of Erreci Sicurezza specializing in designing custom-made window and door frames with minimal, slender profiles and refined esthetics, continues to perform its bespoke service, working with and researching the value of light and its contribution to interior spaces. Design, quality and performance intertwine with the architectural lines of historic and contemporary buildings, adopting solutions suited to out-of-square, arched and porthole-shaped processing for shop windows, large surfaces, fire doors and windows, all of which feature steel profiles and high levels of transparency.
The company’s desire to make unique, custom-made products is evident from its craftsmanship. Erreci Architecture works with a selection of partners and suppliers to whom it offers a wide range of high-performance, high-thermal insulation window and door types and profiles.
Many of these qualities are evident in the design for a private residence on Lake Como immersed in nature, with a large private garden and a sunken swimming pool designed by architects Gianluca Tronconi and Samuele Ossola. Respectful of the contours of the land, the large windows in the façade of the three-level residence open onto green space, ensuring an ongoing relationship between inside and outside.
Erreci Architecture supplied the windows and doors in different types and sizes for the project, filling the rooms with lightness. The designers chose steel frames with Secco profiles and Schüco aluminum frames to minimize the frames’ visual impact and enhance natural light in the villa’s rooms.
