Luxury and Innovation in the Middle East

Colombini Group Contract has participated in the project

The Middle East is a land of contrasts: traditional Arab culture intertwines with ultramodern development, golden beaches merge with vast deserts, local craftsmanship coexists with the latest technologies, and traditional souk stand side by side with cutting edge skyscrapers and striking state of the art buildings. It is a region poised between an identity defining past and a present marked by spiraling innovation.

Landmark, skyline-altering buildings have recently been completed in the UAE and Oman. Colombini Group Contract has been active in both countries, leaving the imprint of its philosophy through collaborations and supplying custom furnishings.

An excellent example is Dubai’s Wasl Tower, designed by UNStudio founders Ben van Berkel and Caroline Bos around a new vision of luxury. At 303 m in height and with an iconic asymmetrical design that seems to wrap around itself, the skyscraper is an unmistakable symbol of innovation and sustainability. For this project, Colombini Group Contract worked with local partner Febal Casa Al Shamsi to supply custom kitchens for the 224 private luxury apartments that span the 37th to 60th floors of the tower. These kitchens seamlessly integrate into these elegant, comfortable units with their 360 degree views of the surrounding panorama. The versatile and elegant Traccia Febal Casa model was used for the project, with the African Oak and Desert finishes selected to harmonize with the surrounding landscape. The African Oak finish was developed exclusively for Wasl Tower to give the kitchens a one of a kind appearance while still remaining in tune with metropolitan style. Residents also enjoy a range of high end amenities, with access to the hotel’s luxury facilities downstairs, including wellness services and Michelin starred restaurants, while benefiting from exclusive access to ensure privacy.

Colombini Group Contract was also involved in the MBR Lagoon project inside Dubai’s Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum City District One, supplying kitchens for all 117 units that skillfully combine premium materials, elegance, and local craftsmanship. The firm brought a similar approach to the 286 apartments at Murooj Lanes in Al Mouj Muscat, Oman, where the interior design reflects the district’s innovative identity.
