Tuesday, March 10, 2026 marks the return of the Italian Design Day. The theme of this tenth edition is Re-Design. Regenerating spaces, objects, ideas, and relationships — an opportunity to reflect on how design and architecture can contribute to the regeneration of living environments, understood both as urban regeneration and the renewal of objects, helping to address global challenges while enhancing Italy’s cultural heritage.
Italian Design Day is an initiative promoted and organized by the Italian Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation and the Ministry of Culture – Directorate-General for Contemporary Creativity, in collaboration with ADI – Associazione per il Disegno Industriale, Fondazione ADI Collezione Compasso d’Oro, Triennale Milano, Salone del Mobile.Milano, FederlegnoArredo, and ICE – ITA Italian Trade Agency.
Sustainability, inclusion, and technological innovation are at the core of Italian Design Day. In this context, Italian cities and their history represent a model that can be exported worldwide, grounded in values such as attention to environmental, social, and economic aspects, the active involvement of citizens in transformation processes, and the application of circular economy principles.
The celebration of Italian design will continue next month during Milano Design Week 2026, scheduled from April 21 to 26, 2026, taking place between Rho Fiera, with the Salone del Mobile, and numerous venues across the city, starting with Triennale Milano and the ADI Design Museum.
