Caccaro’s fresh approach to corners

Freedhome: personalizing every inch of the home

Caccaro has come up with a fresh approach to corners by ignoring symmetry and offering fully customizable doors, modules, finishes, and materials. Dubbed Freedhome, the collection is for customizing every room of the home. Much more than just a piece of furniture or closet, these modules combine to create uniquely furnished corners and walls with extensive storage spaces, maximum flexibility, and design freedom. For this reason, the system is all-purpose, adapting and responding to the needs of any room, from living areas to bedrooms.

By combining different doors, finishes, and dimensions, the normal restrictions of corners can be transformed into opportunities, bringing them to life with alternating niches, doors, drawers, and shelves. Among the various configurations possible, for example, are hinged doors with empty openings, lacquer finishes with fabric surfaces.

You might want to create, say, a walk-in closet in one corner. One of the most functional solutions in this case is Total Opening 50, with its glass-framed doors with the Flat profile. The transparency of the doors creates a strong aesthetic impact, a characteristic further emphasized by lighting and the chromatic and material options of the back finishes. It’s also possible to close off a side of a composition, improving its functionality with shelves, coat hooks, a display case, or simply finishing it with a full-height mirror.

With Freedhome, corners can become meeting points, with compositions of its modules continuing on either side, including into different spaces with different functions. Designing the corner of an open plan area is a good example, since it could be conceived as a transitional element from one space with a particular function to another – from an entrance to a living room, say. This optimizes available space by making corners functional rather than empty and unused.

Adding to both the quality and uniqueness of the collection, a great deal of attention went into lighting. Interior lights, for example, are discreet and functional, with hidden LEDs that illuminate entire storage spaces from top to bottom. The same applies to materials, with their selection and combinations centering on the important role that tactile, material, and chromatic variety plays in influencing our wellbeing. And Caccaro has also launched a new range of finishes and colors, offering a veritable journey from light to dark tones, and from warm to cold colors. There are also more neutral shades, including 15 new lacquered tones, a new shade of oak, fabric finishes, the relaunch of the Natural Wood finish, and three new Kera greys.
