Following the success of the New Delhi leg, FOAID 2025 is set to bring its 12th edition to a close in Mumbai. The event will take place on 19 and 20 December 2025 at the Jio World Convention Centre, where the Festival of Architecture and Interior Design will bring together architects, designers, companies, and students for two days dedicated to exchange, experimentation, and dialogue around contemporary design.
The Delhi stop laid strong foundations: over 6,500 visitors, more than 350 projects showcased, and a rich programme featuring over 100 speakers, spanning talks, installations, and moments of direct engagement with the public.
FOAID 2025: From Delhi to Mumbai

Among the key protagonists of the first stop, leading figures such as Sir David Adjaye, Andy Fisher, Sourabh Gupta, and Ravi Sarangan took centre stage at the CMC Design Manthan, addressing themes of identity, memory, context, and design rigour. A dialogue that laid the groundwork for the second chapter of the Festival, ready to build on and further develop the ideas that emerged.
In Mumbai, the Design Manthan programme expands with new international perspectives. Among the expected speakers are Elizabeth Diller (Diller Scofidio + Renfro), Soo K. Chan (SCDA), and Sanjay Puri (Sanjay Puri Architects), invited to engage in a conversation on contemporary architecture, urban visions, and the possible futures of design.

Alongside the talks, the Festival also makes room for formats dedicated to the relationship between vision and execution. With Pidilite Build India Vision, FOAID explores the connection between design and construction, bringing together architects, consultants, and technical experts to discuss feasibility, sustainability, and the responsible use of materials. The award-winning projects presented in Delhi thus become a starting point for further reflection and for new, concrete applications.
Room for Emerging Voices and Experimentation

A central role is given to the new generations. VOX Architecture Ideas offers young designers the opportunity to present and discuss their concepts before a jury, while Design Karyashala engages students through hands-on experiences and workshops, encouraging a direct, participatory approach to learning. In continuity with the first stop, ICA Creative Minds Next also returns to showcase emerging projects, highlighting research, creativity, and a strong capacity for vision.

Completing the picture is the Design Arena, an exhibition area that in Mumbai will showcase sustainable materials, smart technologies, and innovative solutions for design, alongside a Lighting Pavilion dedicated to the latest experiments in lighting design. More than 150 projects outline an evolving landscape where creativity and industry come together.
With the Mumbai stop, FOAID 2025 brings to a close an edition that reaffirms the Festival as a key platform for architectural debate in India and beyond, capable of bringing together design culture, education, and forward-looking visions for the future.
