In these spaces with a simple but welcoming esthetic, the usage of different material effects aims to guide guests in a journey through Western style and traditions and the exotic atmosphere typical of Tanzania. The Emerald Zanzibar Resort & Spa, designed by Delogu Architecture, is a recently inaugurated five-star hotel located a few steps from the white sand beach of Muyuni in Matemwe, facing Mnemba Island. Encompassing a total area of 10 ha, the property has embraced, from the earliest stages of design, the values of refinement, hospitality and intimacy, which are expressed through the peculiarities and diversity of each unique environment, from the common spaces to the private rooms, from the indoor areas to the outdoor ones. Each of these environments – starting with the 250 suites, the majority of which boast sea views – features Atlas Concorde porcelain stoneware and its numerous effects: approximately ten collections alternate with their nuances and material effects that range from wood and stone to cement and marble.

Wood-effect wall tiles and surfaces from Etic and Etic Pro collections were used in the Asiatique restaurant and the resort’s convention center, in order to create a dialogue between the dark colors typical of rosewood with a matte finish and the brightness of varnished oak. The same is true in the guestrooms, the kids club and some shops: the result is a basic, inviting and contemporary esthetic. In these and other interior spaces, the wood effect is matched with a natural stone effect from the Klif and Trust collections, which reproduces veins, shades, and suggestions of natural stone in a perfect synthesis between esthetics and functionality. The stone effect from the Block collection and the marble effect from the Marvel family are found in the extensive outdoor spaces, as well as in the pool area.

Lastly, Atlas Plan, the company,s brand specialized in large slabs for kitchens, tables and furniture, is the wall cladding chosen for the sinks in the pool suites. This mix of collections gives life to a harmonious stylistic composition where esthetics coexists with quality and advanced technology.
