The new headquarters for Marine Interiors, a leading design and construction firm of turnkey furnishings for cruise ships and yachts that has recently branched out into other sectors, is located in a former industrial complex in Ronchi dei Legionari, in the Italian province of Gorizia. The renovation and reconversion project by the firm Architect Mine, headed in particular by the architects Francesca Sinicato and Daniele Sperotto, also saw the participation of Quadrifoglio Group, which has been creating furnishing solutions for work environments and more for thirty years now.

The client was keen to bring its offices and showroom closer together in order to foster a continuous exchange of ideas. The new dual-use facility was intended to serve as an operational headquarters and a place for receiving customers, while at the same time carving out new co-working spaces for employees. The overarching design concept was inspired by materials commonly used

in the naval sector - wood, steel and glass, with the aim of creating an elegant style, representative of the parent company, while also brimming with allure and personality, just like the company and its people.

The resulting complex features a variety of spaces dedicated to co-worker sharing: rooms for meetings and training courses, as well as a refreshment area with an internal garden, providing natural lighting and ventilation for work environments. In addition to the patio, located in the courtyard of the building, the hall dedicated to the materials library was built from scratch, mostly featuring glass façades. In this setting, Quadrifoglio Group provided furnishings for a surface area of 1,750 sq. m on the ground and first floors. The Group’s turnkey service, from design to installation, included creating made-to-measure products and full flexibility in finishes. Models selected for the project included Idea+01 desks for all operational workstations and some offices; X4 and X5 desks for the executive offices and reception halls; and custom-sized Creo tables, matched with C-Stool stools for moments of sharing in open spaces. Quadrifoglio also supplied various types of wardrobes and lockers in a warm Canaletto Walnut finish, along with wall fittings and aluminum-profile partitions to separate some of the offices from the common areas. The design was created with input from Aresline.
