Creating continuity between inside and out through materials

Trespa has participated in the project

Massimo Sirianni had always been fascinated by northern European architecture and its widespread use of ventilated façades, including in private residences. He therefore wanted to use the system in his new home. As a mechanical engineer, Massimo worked closely with the architects from AD Studio during every stage of the construction, from the choice of materials to decisions on building techniques. He took his inspiration from a project from Trespa’s portfolio for a ventilated façade that used Pura® NFC slats with different wood decors and colors.

It was possible to quickly turn the idea behind the property into a reality – that is, to create continuity between the inside and outside of the home. The three different wood tones are the theme running through the whole project, defining both the exteriors and the interiors. Outside, the installation of Pura® NFC slats was carefully planned to create variety, with a pleasant alternation of colors. The windows, windowsills, and flower boxes, also in Pura® NFC and incorporating integrated LED lighting, blend well with the façade, without creating any sense of interruption. The same interplay of colors is found inside the home in the wood paneling in the living room and stairs.

“Thanks to Pura® NFC, fast delivery times, and the firm’s professionalism, we were able to build our home exactly the way we wanted it.” Massimo Sirianni

For the installation of the façade, Trespa was contacted directly. The idea behind the project with the three different wood tones was discussed and advice was sought on how to proceed. A meeting was then arranged at the construction site, together with carpenter Alessandro Trompeo, whom Sirianni had known for many years. A technical meeting was also organized, during which the video instructions for installing the product horizontally were viewed. Although Alessandro had no experience with installing Pura® NFC, he said that the process was quite simple: “… like installing any other kind of façade or parquetry product.”
