CODE: Personalizing the Outdoor Experience

A reworking of more traditional floor stand-based versions, the BT Group-designed CODE (Customized Outdoor Design Experience) screen system is an aluminum slatted structure that caters to the latest flexibility- and customization-related needs of how people live outdoor space. Among other things, the design’s originality lies in its ability to integrate into many different product systems made by this company specialized in awnings, pergolas, canopies and sunshades, with a special focus on bespoke solutions.

CODE epitomizes BT Group’s custom-made products. Its slats come in a variety of thicknesses, including “slender-look” (upward-projected) versions, and versions flush with the structure. All versions may be integrated into canopied or bioclimatic pergolas, including retractable options. When inclined, retractable slats provide partial or full protection from the sun and, more generally, the right level of climate control, including shelter from rainy weather. The system also combines with a variety of perimeter enclosures, from fully glazed to vertical cable awnings and draperies.

To customize and manage the locale, structure colors are available in a variety of tones, while integrated LED lighting creates harmony and balance with the surroundings.

BT Group teamed up with architect Ivo Pellegri to develop the CODE system, creating a synthesis of comfort, functionality, esthetics, quality and innovation that perfectly integrates into outdoor space, ensuring privacy for residential and contract locations. Not surprisingly with such characteristics, CODE is a flagship product in the 2022 New Arch outdoor collection.
