Cersaie 2025 confirms Bologna as the international capital of ceramics and bathroom furnishings. From September 22 to 26, BolognaFiere welcomed thousands of visitors and over six hundred exhibitors from around the world, reaffirming the fair’s role as a benchmark for design, sustainability, and technological innovation.
A variety of trends defined the ceramic surfaces showcased at this 42nd edition of Cersaie: optical effects that make materials scenographic and sensorial, material realism with surfaces that faithfully reproduce wood, stone, and marble, and innovative formats — from large total-look slabs to small decorative modules — offering custom design creativity for every project.
Below, we present THE PLAN’s selection of the most noteworthy new products.

With “The Magical Journey – Revealing Our Alchemical Soul,” Iris Ceramica Group presents an experiential journey that transforms ceramics into gold, a noble and precious material. The concept aligns with the company’s vision of ceramics as a living material and as beautility—the synthesis of beauty and functionality. The installation symbolizes a three-stage transformative path (Breaking, Glowing, Revealing) which also extends to the company’s showrooms. At its core is Alchimia&Iris Ceramica Group, an invisible technology that integrates audio-video systems into ceramic slabs, allowing them to appear or disappear on command.
Supporting this metamorphosis, the company introduces an innovative water-based printing technology that ensures environmental sustainability while delivering exceptional aesthetic quality, enhancing textures and colors with high definition. This immersive experience, enriched by the digital morphing works of visual artist Lorenza Liguori, is more than a product showcase—it is a true alchemical journey that transforms matter while redefining the perception of ceramics.

At Cersaie 2025, Ceramiche Refin explores the concept of matter in evolution with the project “The Shape of Unexpected – Hybrid Materials.” The booth, designed by Studio Salaris, becomes a threshold space, a place of transition where light, shadow, and volume define a sensorial journey inspired by the architecture of Carlo Scarpa and Japanese aesthetics. The new collections are presented as micro material landscapes: Osmos reinterprets concrete as a living surface through an organic, deep texture; Ink embodies the symbolic and narrative value of ceramics with a conceptual, zen-inspired aesthetic that recalls the weave of fabric; Prestigio Kaleidos reinvents marble with iridescent, expressive hues; Eras blends slate and sandstone into fluid surfaces enriched with reliefs and mosaics.
The exhibition also features expanded collections and collaborations with contemporary artists. Refin’s approach takes ceramics beyond function, transforming it into an expressive medium, a tool for design and architectural storytelling, where technical experimentation meets aesthetic sensitivity.

At Cersaie 2025, Atlas Concorde transforms its booth into an immersive experience that celebrates its coordinated product ecosystem (Atlas Concorde, Atlas Plan, and Atlas Concorde Habitat). The five new collections, the result of prestigious collaborations, mark a new stage in the evolution of surface design. Boost Vision combines the rationality of concrete with the vibration of stone, in line with the circular approach and urban regeneration concept developed with Park Studio. LOG Select, created with Itlas, reinterprets oak in an essential and refined key. Marvel T, in collaboration with HBA, celebrates the craftsmanship of Italian travertine with understated elegance.
With Nyra, the result of a partnership with Alberto Apostoli, the company explores wellness architecture through a tactile, vibrant stone. Finally, Marvel Epic offers scenographic slabs inspired by seven natural stones, providing broad design freedom. These innovations reaffirm Atlas Concorde’s commitment to stylistic and technological research, also recognized by the ADI Honorable Mention awarded to Tratto, the collection designed by Piero Lissoni.

At Cersaie 2025, Ceramiche Keope unveils CottoMilano, the new porcelain stoneware collection that combines the legacy of Lombard terracotta—a historic material rich in iron and deep red tones—with contemporary architecture. Born from the vision of designer Domenico Orefice, the collection reinterprets this tradition through cutting-edge technology, offering surfaces with unprecedented opacity and tactile softness. A distinctive element is the patented ULTRAmatt finish, which ensures refined aesthetics and easy maintenance for versatile interior applications. The collection features large formats and a broad color palette, making it ideal for urban and international projects while transcending the traditional perception of terracotta as a rustic material. Decorative elements draw inspiration from Milanese Renaissance friezes, animating the surface and providing compositional versatility across different contexts.

At Cersaie 2025, FAP Ceramiche presents Materia Brillante, an extension of the Materia project that redefines the concept of gloss with an extra-shiny, highly reflective finish. The result of advanced color research, the collection stands out for its versatile palette, alternating delicate shades with on-trend hues. The Wall Tiles highlight solid colors and dynamic decorative patterns: from Riflessi, with its 3D pleated effect that captures the light, to Foglie Linfa and Abisso, which introduce organic and imaginative suggestions. The collection’s versatility is further enhanced by the large FAP Maxxi Super Drop White Matt slabs—with their glossy-matte contrast—and by the Mosaici Solid, offering designers and companies a tool that not only dresses spaces but transforms them into luminous, sensory experiences with strong aesthetic impact.
Mapei reaffirms its position as a benchmark in the construction chemicals sector, with a range focused on functionality and sustainability. At the fair, the company showcases advanced technical systems designed to improve building comfort and durability. The highlight is Keraflex S1 Evolution Zero, a high-performance adhesive with a low carbon footprint and recycled content, part of the Mapei Zero line of carbon-compensated products.
The offering is completed by the fast-setting adhesive Keraflex Quick and the sealant Mapesil AC Zero, reformulated without fossil-based derivatives. Through its integration with Profilpas, Mapei also provides coordinated profiles and innovative systems for flush shower trays and raised floors, offering comprehensive solutions for diverse design needs.

Sōdai transports visitors into a poetic and evocative universe: the new catalog Limerence explores the density and stillness of water, suspended between light and matter, memory and imagination. Curated by Andrea Batilla, the collection reinvents bourgeois aesthetics with a sophisticated yet irreverent spirit.
Among the new porcelain stoneware offerings stands Rad, which reinterprets the burl wood of vintage cars and furniture through glossy, deep slabs. Visual richness also defines Triomphe, which reproduces the iridescent Moiré effect of silk fabrics through innovative cold tridimensionality. Adding to these are the water-effect finishes (Wet, Liquida, L’Eau), the abstract reinterpretation of the animalier aesthetic, and the vintage texture Tortuga. Sōdai positions itself as a creative laboratory that merges artisanal excellence and technology, offering designers surfaces that redefine the concept of material and narrative luxury.

Decoratori Bassanesi renews its decorative language with Quadrille, the new collection designed by Swedish designer Clara von Zweigbergk, which explores the intersection between geometric rigor and chromatic sensitivity. The project originates from a reinterpretation of the company’s historical archives and develops as a modular surface system that combines visual lightness with graphic strength. Six different designs, in a 15x15 cm format, allow for ever-changing patterns and original combinations, evoking the rhythm of dance from which the collection takes its name. The palette weaves together velvety shades of burgundy, green, and blue, creating a balanced and refined aesthetic. Within the stand, the display becomes a visual narrative that connects the new collection with the company’s ongoing journey of research and experimentation.

The ceramics by 41zero42 become a true narrative tool. The tiles of the Stories collection, made of glazed HD porcelain stoneware, compose different imaginative worlds through figurative illustrations. Four thematic lines start from a white base—either matte or glossy—to create evocative microcosms: Eddie recreates the ordered chaos of a metropolitan noir; Dance conveys the rhythm and energy of choreography; Costiera evokes Mediterranean atmospheres, between lemon gardens and local craftsmanship; while Caravan celebrates the nomadic imagination. The collection reflects the company’s vocation for exploring and renewing the languages of architectural design.

Abitzai brings its Mediterranean vision of design to Cersaie 2025 with the new collections Mimesis and Reta, created respectively by Celestino Sanna and Studio Mamo. Mimesis, part of the Origini line, translates the language of natural mimicry into an organic geometry inspired by corals and sea sponges. Its reticular lines turn the tile into a mathematical model for harmonious architectural compositions. Reta, on the other hand, explores the concept of the net as an interweaving of relationships, cultures, and ideas—symbolized by the Mediterranean itself. The stand, designed by Studio Mamo, offers a sensory journey into Abitzai’s Sardinian roots, blending authenticity, sustainability, and contemporary craftsmanship.

Skema presents its vision of space as a unified organism, where floors, walls, and ceilings communicate through coordinated materials and design languages. Two complementary innovations take center stage, conceived to work in harmony. Villa, an oak collection, combines material quality and technical precision, with planks and patterns designed to create visual continuity and harmonious proportions within spaces. Alongside it, the new acoustic line Mikro introduces micro-perforated panels that preserve the natural wood grain while ensuring high sound-absorption performance without compromising aesthetics. In addition to these new products, the company showcases its ecosystem of indoor and outdoor solutions: laminate, engineered wood, SPC, boiserie, WPC decking, and acoustic systems. The booth’s lattice structure reflects the company’s technical and pragmatic approach: the surface not as a mere finish, but as a true design tool.

Cimento® makes its debut at Cersaie 2025 with a vision centered on material innovation and environmental responsibility, presenting a booth designed by its art director Patricia Urquiola as an immersive art gallery. Among the new products stand out the Rigato finish and the Barena slabs, but above all the Boton tiles—three-dimensional, vibrant surfaces that incorporate the Algae finish, the result of the company’s Carbon Neutrality journey and its collaboration with the northern Venetian Lagoon for CO₂ absorption through microalgae. The project eloquently combines environmental innovation and material recovery.
The booth also serves to officially present the partnership with Scrigno, which has chosen Cimento® material for several products in its new door collection Mappa Mundi – Linea Borghi, elevating the threshold to a sensorial and architectural narrative element. The company thus establishes itself as a key player in a new design philosophy, where surfaces and objects become the languages of a sensitive and sustainable vision of design.

Ceramiche Marca Corona transforms its exhibition space into a "wunderkammer", a true cabinet of curiosities, an eclectic collection of rare objects made of ceramic surfaces rich in visual and material intensity. The company strengthens its bold decorative language with the presentation of Miniature Rima, a 3D mini-brick that plays on the matte–gloss contrast to create dynamic patterns; Arkigem, a porcelain stoneware that reinterprets Ceppo di Sicilia with balanced fragments and deep graphics; and Arteseta, a white-body wall covering featuring a new glossy, granular finish. The collection is completed by Terrasale, a fusion of basaltina and limestone, and Scultorea Delicata, which expands the marble-effect range with lighter tones, introducing the new Velvet finish in large format. Marca Corona thus establishes itself in the exploration of surfaces as true design, aesthetic, and cultural devices.

The new CiViC collection by Ceramiche Caesar explores the expressive potential of concrete through three distinct material interpretations that offer great design flexibility: Cross, with its soft, shaded character; Vein, marked by directional and dynamic veining; and Chips, recognizable for its flake-like texture, also available in a Multicolor version. The palette achieves a refined balance between neutral tones and contemporary materiality. Completing the collection is an articulated decorative system: from the geometric motifs of InSquare and Composition M, to the subtle yet bold contrasts of Circle, and the vertical lines of Straight, further expanding compositional freedom.

At Cersaie 2025, Gruppo Bardelli presents an installation that brings together the brands Ceramica Bardelli, Ceramica Vogue, and Appiani in a single, coherent spatial narrative. The project elevates ceramics from a mere covering material to an architectural structure and language. The booth is conceived as an architecture clad in Vogue System in the hue of raw ceramic. Inside, light cuts and sculptural totems orchestrate a dialogue among the new collections, revealed through intense chromatic stratifications. The range spans from blues (Sinfonia, Sea Maioliche) and bordeaux tones (Flautini, Vogue System) to greens (Sinfonia, Pastelli), yellows (Ritmo, Coriandoli), and sandy neutrals in Mongolfiere and Atlantis City.
The project highlights the distinctive traits of each brand: the modular and versatile dimension of Appiani, the decorative vocation of Ceramica Bardelli, and the design-driven color identity of Ceramica Vogue. The installation, curated by Leonardo Talarico, received the ADI Booth Design Award, confirming the Group’s ability to unite aesthetics, spatial harmony, and functionality in contemporary design.
