Less is more. The timeless design philosophy of Mies van der Rohe lies at the heart of Câpsula, a new Dutch brand conceived by the multi-award-winning studio i29 architects. With its series of prefabricated mini houses, Câpsula redefines compact living through minimalist design, refined materials, and flexible layouts. The collection — set to expand over time — currently features three distinct models: Soft Lodge, Writer’s Block Hut, and Patio Home.
Immersed in its surroundings, Soft Lodge celebrates the seamless dialogue between indoor and outdoor space. Its generous glazing opens onto the landscape, blurring the boundary between home and nature. Inside, a living area flows into a sleeping zone that can host one to three bedrooms. With a surface area of 25 sq. m, doubled by two sheltered terraces on either side, Soft Lodge offers a compact yet expansive way of living close to the natural world.

With just 10 sq. m of space, Writer’s Block Hut is a minimalist refuge designed to spark imagination. Bathed in natural light and clad in brushed pinewood slats, it invites calm and clarity — an intimate space to write, think, and reconnect. Thoughtfully detailed interiors turn simplicity into inspiration, helping to dissolve creative blocks and rekindle focus.

The largest of the three, Patio Home offers 50 sq. m of intelligently arranged space for a family of four. A living room, dining area with kitchen, and three bedrooms open onto a central patio that acts as the home’s natural heart. Its clever layout ensures a 360-degree connection with the surrounding landscape, creating a continuous dialogue between shelter and scenery — an ideal blend of efficiency, comfort, and serenity.
