Graphisoft, a company specializing in building information modeling (BIM) software for architecture and design, recently unveiled its 2025–26 product lineup. Intended to further improve the design experience with state‑of‑the‑art functionality, it includes products to design, visualize, collaborate, and document using BIM software, AI-assistance systems, and professional algorithmic design tools. Highlights include Archicad 29 (the latest evolution of Graphisoft’s original BIM product, which transformed architectural design) AI Assistant (applied across several products), and MEP Designer (also applied across multiple applications).

Ai Assistant

Archicad 29 is much more than a simple update to the original Archicad BIM software, with the latest features intended to achieve a better design experience and to improve people’s quality of life through design and architecture. One of its new features is AI Assistant (Beta), which enables smarter workflows and faster navigation, while ensuring data securityso that project information is never used for AI training. Other features include instant 90‑degree rotation of elementsusing simple shortcuts, and direct input of openings in Section, Elevation, and Interior Elevations, which enables the precise placement of all kinds of openings, even on non-parallel elements. Other features include greater flexibility and improvements in kitchen cabinet design, enhanced 3D image quality, and more.

There have also been updates to BIMx and BIMcloud, products that simplify project sharing and enable real‑time collaboration, respectively. The AI Assistant (Beta), which will be further refined in 2026, will be directly integrated into Archicad, MEP Designer, DDScad, and other Graphisoft software. Among them, MEP Designer enables the creation of accurate system layouts within a modern BIM environment, from detailed floor plans and section documentation to integrated visualization tools and parametric libraries. DDScad 21 enables MEP professionals to work with precision and confidence, ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulations. Finally, Project Aurora is Graphisoft’s next-generation cloud-native platform, built to offer professionals smarter, faster, and more informed design workflows.

At the Graphisoft Ignite Conference, held in Budapest in early October, Graphisoft unveiled its new software along with the MJE House project by Jacobsen Arquitetura, which used digital modeling tools, visualization tools, and other innovative software. All these tools played a fundamental role in analyzing lighting, solar exposure, and other elements.
