The meeting “Architecture in Spain. Between Memory and Innovation”, held by the Spanish architects Fuensanta Nieto – Founding Partner of Nieto Sobejano Arquitectos in Madrid – and Elisa Valero – Founder of the Elisa Valero Studio in Granada – will take place on Thursday, September 25 at the State Archives of Naples.
The conference, with free admission and open to all, will be held from 3:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. in the Sala Catasti of the Archives, at Piazzetta del Grande Archivio 5, Naples.
Promoted by the Order of Architects P.P.C. of Naples and Province, the meeting is organized under the patronage of the Embassy of Spain in Italy and the Instituto Cervantes of Naples, with the collaboration of the State Archives of Naples.

The talk will focus on environmental sustainability, technological innovation, circular economy, and respect for both the human being and the historical-urban context. Fuensanta Nieto and Elisa Valero will present their approach and design philosophy in contemporary architecture, showcasing a preview of their most recent works.

The initiative is curated by the architect Arianna Callocchia, with the aim of continuing to highlight the role of women in architecture, creating an opportunity for dialogue, professional exchange, and discussion between the Italian and international contexts.
Participants include Ferdinando Salemme, Director of the State Archives of Naples; Lorenzo Capobianco, President of the Order of Architects P.P.C. of Naples and Province; Carlos Tercero, Cultural Counselor of the Embassy of Spain in Italy; and Ana Navarro, Director of the Instituto Cervantes of Naples. The discussion will be moderated by Antonio Coppola, Vice President of OAPPC Naples and Province, responsible for Training.

The presentations by the two architects will be held in Spanish, and a consecutive translation into Italian will be provided for the discussion.
Participation in the conference grants 3 CFP credits to Italian architects, subject to prior registration at: CNAPPC.it
