On March 26–27, 2026, Turin becomes a meeting point for architectural design and artificial intelligence with “AI and Architecture,” an intensive laboratory aimed at architects and designers who wish to integrate AI into professional practice in a structured, critical, and conscious way
The initiative, with limited enrollment (maximum 20 participants), will take place at CRAG Gallery, Via Parma 66D, from 9:00–13:00 and 14:00–18:00. Promoted as an independent educational project by instructors Riccardo Piazzai and Luciana Mastrolia, the laboratory is accredited by the Order of Architects and allows participants to earn Professional Continuing Education Credits.

In recent years, artificial intelligence has entered architectural studios, often in a fragmented way: tools tested individually, promising results that are difficult to systematize, and processes that remain on the margins of everyday design practice. AI and Architecture was created precisely to overcome this fragmentation, offering an experience that goes beyond the format of an introductory workshop and takes the form of a true design laboratory.
The focus is not merely on producing outputs, but on building a method: from the exploration and control of representation—images, renderings, and videos used as active tools from the earliest phases — to the integration of AI into decision-making processes, information flows, and the operational dynamics of the studio.
The program alternates moments of theoretical framing, guided exercises, and collective discussions based on realistic case studies, fostering learning through practice and dialogue. Informal networking moments among participants are also included, with shared case studies. The results of the work will ultimately be presented in a final exhibition open to the public, giving the city access to the outcomes of two days of shared experimentation.
