As Principal at Leers Weinzapfel Associates, Josiah has led design teams for numerous award-winning projects, including the recently completed Design Building at UMass Amherst. He is currently working on the Multi-Purpose Academic Building at Wentworth Institute of Technology, a Boys & Girls Club renovation, and the Academic Arts Center for Middlesex Community College. He leads the firm’s Green Committee and integrates a sustainable design approach into all his projects. All of his recently completed projects are LEED Gold certified. Active in the Boston Society of Architects, Josiah is the organization’s 2017 President and most recently held the position of Commissioner of Design. Previously, he served as chair and a member for three years of the Honors and Awards Committee and chair and member for two years of the Harleston Parker Committee, a group awarding the “most beautiful building in Boston”. He has also lectured on his firm’s work including presenting at an AIA Convention with other Firm Award winners on sustainable design practices. In 2015 Josiah taught an Architecture Studio program at Wentworth Institute of Technology.
