Gisella Gellini, architect, graduated in Florence with a thesis on the? Refurbishment and museographic organization of Palazzo Schifanoia, Ferrara. As a researcher in the culture of light, with particular emphasis on Light Art, she co-operated with the art collector Giuseppe Panza di Biumo. In 2009 she was the curator of the Dan Flavin in the Panza Collection exhibition at the Berardo Museum of Lisboa and of the Light Blade installation by Nicola Evangelisti at the Villa Reale of Milan. In 2010 she curated the Luces ? Light Art from Italy collective exhibition and in 2012 the Fabrizio Corneli's JETZT Arch?ologische Schatten solo exhibition, both held at the Archaelogical Museum of Frankfurt. In 2014 she curated, together with Domenico Nicolamarino, teacher at the Brera Fine Arts Academy of Milan, the Light Art Ensemble exhibition cum congress, staged in the former church of San Carpoforo of Milan. The same year she has been the artistic director of Arezzo in Luce, a urban-scale event featuring light's installations by Sebastiano Romano. Since 2009 she has been curating the Light Art in Italy yearly publications that gather the main temporary Light Art installations set up in Italy. Since 2011 she has been teacher at the Light Art andLight Design course at the Design School of the Milan's Polytechnic. As expert of Light Art she currently writes for magazines in the field of lighting, co-operates with the Brera Fine Arts Academy, besides being lecturer in several seminars and workshops. This edition of Light Art in Italy Temporary Installations 2014 ? 2015 is focused on the artworks made by the artists of light during 2014 and the first six months of 2015. As usually, for a better understanding of the works by the readers, that may be not only experts of the sector but also students or people who approach for the first time this kind of art, the book comes with a DVD including the videos provided by the same artists, thus giving a futher tool for reading the works. ?

After that, she attended research courses and masters in experimental aesthetics focused on the space-time-light topics. She went to Sao Paulo in Brazil, where she designed many important buildings, such as the Santa Marcellina Faculty of Fine Arts and Music and history-oriented settings in other brazilian cities. At the same time she carried out a consultancy for the Centre of Study and Research of the Sao Paulo State. A researcher in the field of the light's culture, with a particular reference to Light Art, she obtained the co-operation and consultancy of the great art collector Giuseppe Panza di Biumo. In 2009 she was invited as curator of the exhibition "Dan Flavin in the Panza Collection", set up at the Berardo Museum, Lisboa. then during Euroluce of Milan, she curated the Nicola Evangelisti installation "Light Blade", at Villa Reale. In 2010, on the occasion of Luminale, she was invited as curator of "Luces. Light Art from Italy", a collective exhibition of Italian light's artists, set up at the Archaelo-gical Museum of Franfkurt. At present she is inolved in the organisation of an anthological exhibition of works from the Panza Collection at the Tomie-Ohtake Museum of Sao Paulo, an exhibition within the "Momento Italia-Brasile 2011-2012" major event.
