Lightness and fluidity define this project developed by A.c.M.e. Studio for the headquarters of Tipolitografia Zardini, a company near Verona renowned for high-craft adhesive labels. Located in the Valpolicella region, the building retains a strong, distinctive character yet fits in harmoniously with the surrounding landscape. Transparent, permeable, and traversed by sunlight, the building triggers a series of relationships between the workplace and its backdrop, as well as fusing productive functions and corporate identity. The headquarters boast devoted space for production, reception, meetings, and company events under a single roof. Conceived as an efficient workplace and a display area showcasing the company’s artisanal achievements, Zardini’s headquarters combines pure volumes and transparent materials that fit seamlessly into the site’s natural forms. The choice of extra-clear curved glass for the transparent walls and micro-perforated corrugated sheet metal for the translucent ones reinforces the intention to minimize visual impact and create a measured relationship with the context.

Occupying a plot on a valley-floor heavily impacted by human intervention, the site offered an opportunity to rehabilitate a fragmented built environment and enhance connections between the company, landscape, and local community. Two of the new structure’s four levels are below ground. The functional layout features parking on the second basement level and production areas on the first, where the company’s most innovative printing lines operate (offset, screen, and flexographic presses), served by technical rooms and changing facilities. The upper two floors accommodate offices, meeting rooms, staff training spaces, and service areas. The building’s various levels are linked by a staircase, elevator, and a broad ramp that lends continuity to the interior, as well as leaving space for a triple-height patio.
