Neolith, a global leader in sintered stone, created a small earthly paradise for Casa Decor 2024, the most influential Spanish exhibition dedicated to interior design. By harnessing the endless inspiration of nature, the project, called A Reflection of Who We Are, transformed the courtyard at Madrid’s Palacio de la Trinidad into a focal point and a replicable model for both residential and commercial spaces. This is a place where you can let yourself be transported by the beauty and tranquility of nature, an oasis of peace where you can take time out to listen to the sounds of the planet and meditate far from the frenzy of everyday life.
The project revolves around four key values that allow to transform outdoor spaces into relaxing environments: connection with nature, combining light and space, prioritizing sustainability, and creating a sensorial experience. The result is a union of nature and materials that places the focus on the planet and one’s own being.
The first priority was reflecting Neolith’s brand values in one single project. Neolith takes inspiration from nature to create all its collections and thus, the focal point was to establish a connection with the beauty of nature.
Second, blending the project with nature and making it invisible inside the garden of Palacio de la Trinidad was key to impress the visitors at the entry of the exhibition, maximizing the potential of light and making the garden at Casa Decor as spacious as possible.
In the project, the concept of “sustainable beauty” was successfully embraced and interpreted. The company’s products are, in fact, made by natural raw materials, are 100% recyclable and some of its models contain up to 98% recycled materials. This philosophy can be brought into life by including a palette of natural colours, such as Neolith sintered stone, and opting for efficient irrigation and vertical gardens for optimizing space.
Last but not least, a key aspect of reconnecting with nature is creating a sensory experience. Adding tactile surfaces, natural aromas, and meditation nooks are fundamental in this. The result is a compendium of ideas for creating an oasis of tranquility either in the home or in commercial spaces that seek to create an environment connected with nature.
