Palazzo Generali in Turin, a listed building, is of great artistic and cultural value in the Piedmont capital. Its renovation and modernization required meticulous attention from all parties involved. Preserving the architectural style typical of early 20th century creations required finding esthetic solutions that, while incorporating contemporary design elements, were seamlessly integrated into the historical context of the complex. Among these, Finstral doors and windows played a crucial role as their essential, gently beveled lines evoke the timeless charm of the building while maximizing functionality and sustainability. Additionally, they effectively meet both esthetic requirements and current standards for thermal and acoustic sealing and insulation, ensuring a harmonious blend of heritage and modern needs.

Durable and distinguished by meticulously selected construction details overseen by the company, the doors and windows from the FIN-Window Classic-line series are known for their modularity. They seamlessly integrate into both the interior and exterior environments of Palazzo Generali, enhancing its character. These features also allow ample natural light to filter through the large glass surfaces, some of which reach dimensions up to 4.5 m. The insulating glass in each frame is carefully bonded to the sash profiles, ensuring its stability, while the use of quality hardware and, for larger glazing, steel reinforcements, optimizes the tightness of the sash in the frame. In addition, an innovative installation system made it possible in some cases to reuse original frames that were still in excellent condition, while the older frames were replaced in a quick but thorough process.

To maintain the esthetic consistency of the building’s façade, the exterior profiles of the window frames were finished in matte brown, while the shutters were replaced to add elegance and ensure a consistent finish across the whole renovation project.

The interior profiles are made of satin white PVC, a durable and low-maintenance solution that contributes positively to the modernization of the spaces and rooms. Indeed, the more than 150 Finstral windows and doors, which guarantee high quality and durability, contribute positively to the optimal completion of the project.
