Osmo: Comfort, Condensed

In recent years, shifts in how domestic spaces are inhabited have driven a fundamental reconfiguration of their design, affecting both function and form. In this context, Innova – which designs, develops and manufactures heating, ventilation and air-conditioning solutions – has developed Osmo, a new, compact, all-metal fan coil unit that integrates advanced technology with high operating performance. The system’s latest iteration takes this logic a step further with a built-in version, conceived to minimize visual presence even more while allowing seamless integration across a wide range of architectural contexts. Minimal profiles, restrained dimensions, integrated technology and overall performance define the Osmo range, which is designed for wall or ceiling installation depending on configuration. Three versions are intended for recessed wall installation: SLI is characterized by extremely shallow depth, suitable for virtually any wall; RSI has a radiant effect for increased warmth; and SLSI, with its reduced height, is for even the most compact spaces. The SLI version, in a horizontal configuration, has also been developed in three ceiling variants, all featuring minimal depth to allow easy insertion into niches, false walls, suspended ceilings and more.

Particular attention has been paid to detail throughout the Osmo range, from the customization of selected front panels to the control interfaces themselves. Discreet and deliberately unobtrusive, these controls can be integrated into the unit or installed remotely on the wall, and all versions employ touch-sensitive technology with heightened responsiveness and automatic brightness adjustment.

Acoustic comfort has also received particular attention, with Osmo further improved compared to Innova’s other fan coil units. Beyond reducing sound levels, its acoustic profile has been carefully tuned, smoothing tonal peaks and softening their perception. Thermal comfort, reduced energy consumption and notably quieter operation converge within a single, compact system.
