Color and the Essence of Architecture

“Refined, powdery tones paired with luminous, brilliant hues transform space from a neutral backdrop into a place of identity, character and beauty”. With these words, Alessandro Dondi – Brand Marketing & Communications Director at Kerakoll Group – distills the essence of Kerakoll Colors, an ambitious new system for interior and exterior decoration built around 1,500 meticulously curated shades. The first hues were previewed during the 2025 Milan Design Week; now, the complete palette has been revealed, its shades selected with artisanal care and a keen eye to the latest design trends. Building on the experience gained with earlier decorative collections – such as Warm and Color Collection – the project also focuses on deeper integration of esthetics, functionality and sustainability, expanding the chromatic offering while fostering greater visual harmony between indoor and outdoor spaces. Kerakoll Colors spans a wide family of coordinated products, including paints, enamels, wall coatings, decorative and technical resins, varnishes, plasters and sealants. These are all harmonized within a single, comprehensive palette of 1,500 tones.

A defining feature of the project is its unified chromatic system in which every product draws from the same master palette that is organized into eight Color Charts – Neutral, Blue, Green, Brown, Yellow, Terracotta, Magenta and Purple. The shades span from soft, powder-matte tones to vivid, luminous hues, grouped into four intensity scales: Light, Mid, Deep and Bright – the latter a new addition to Kerakoll Colors, distinguished by strong, saturated color. Within the offering are two dedicated ranges: Color Interior, comprising 1,500 shades, includes paints, primers, enamels and more, conceived to enrich and personalize residential spaces, restaurants, hospitality projects and commercial interiors; and Color Exterior, available in 1,000 shades, which brings color outdoors through a coordinated selection of paints, coatings and enamels, enabling its use as both an architectural and urban element, and as a medium for protection and decoration.
