The project idea stems from the important relationship that the Banca di Credito Cooperativo has built over the years with local artisanal and agricultural businesses, which, widely present in the Bergamo area, represent an important economic sector as well as the natural heritage of the Bergamo valleys.

The layout and shape of the ground-floor offices recall the peaks and steep slopes of the Orobie Alps, just as the wooden slats and green walls are inspired by the woods and meadows found in the valleys. From these inspirations, the functional and definitive project then evolved and developed. Embracing the philosophy of our way of thinking about space, we have chosen only eco-friendly materials, reducing environmental impact and promoting a sustainable and responsible work environment.
In 2022 we received an invitation to participate in a competition to submit a project for the redevelopment of a historic building intended for future use as offices and a bank branch. We immediately set about distributing the space for the various functions required. The spaces involved in the redevelopment are spread across three levels, with a total area of 900 square meters. Commercial services are located on the ground floor, with an entrance featuring an ATM to ensure operational ease and customer safety. The first-floor houses individual and multi-person offices, offering bright spaces overlooking the tree-lined avenue. The basement level is designated for the technical rooms for the large air conditioning unit that cools and heats the entire branch. The unique shape of the property inspired us to concentrate connecting spaces inside and offices backed onto the windows on both floors. We opted for simple furnishings, minimal finishes, and colors that reflect what the Bergamo area means to us. Decorative wooden strips, green fabrics reminiscent of the hills, and bright spaces created a comfortable workspace. We decorated two large rooms with a playful use of wallpaper. The strength of our project? Undoubtedly, we brought the historic Rezzara building to life, highlighting its neoclassical features and blending the contemporary feel of modern spaces.
Thanks to a wonderful and well-rounded team effort, we were able to provide the people of Bergamo with a major local bank, carefully meeting the needs of the historic building and the requests of a prestigious client like BCC Milano. Our goal is to offer functional and welcoming spaces to both bank employees and their customers, who will recognize this branch as a safe place to be.
