The concept of Link emerged from a desire to integrate contemporary architecture into the skyline of Tijuana. The project reinterprets the idea of high-rise living in a growing urban context by placing two slender towers on a stepped base that adapts to the terrain. The copper-toned façade and vertical green elements create a visual continuity with the surrounding landscape, while the spatial configuration prioritizes light, privacy, and panoramic views, resulting in a design that is both functional and emblematic.

The design of Link responds to the site's sloped topography by arranging its two towers at different heights on a stepped base. This configuration allows for efficient vehicular access, optimized natural lighting, and panoramic views of Tijuana’s skyline. By working with the land’s natural contours, the project maximizes its relationship with the landscape. The towers’ slender volumes and copper cladding create a respectful dialogue with their urban surroundings, blending harmoniously into the city while introducing a contemporary architectural identity.
Sustainability guided the selection of materials and layout strategies. The building envelope includes copper-toned panels with perforations and linear openings to regulate natural light and thermal comfort. The design enhances cross-ventilation and reduces energy demand. Natural lighting is prioritized in all living spaces, and the rooftop includes amenities that encourage outdoor activity. A significant effort was made to reduce the environmental impact through conscious planning, energy efficiency, and the selection of long-lasting, low-maintenance materials.
Link is a high-rise residential development located in Tijuana, Mexico, composed of two slender towers rising from a 9-level base. This base houses parking, access points, and a central lobby. Above it, 119 apartments ranging from 60 m² to 155 m² are distributed over 35 floors. The layout—five units per floor—ensures privacy and multiple orientations per unit. The architectural language is defined by its copper-toned façade, which wraps the towers in a continuous skin that regulates natural lighting and gives the towers a sculptural presence. A vertical green strip climbs the towers, establishing a strong visual connection with the surrounding landscape. The project takes advantage of the natural slope of the terrain to enhance views of the city’s skyline and improve ventilation and light. Link stands out for its spatial clarity, material coherence, and integration with its urban setting. Its architecture avoids superficial gestures and instead focuses on functionality, proportion, and the users’ relationship with their environment. The design successfully combines contemporary residential living with a strong urban sensibility and environmental awareness.
Link is more than a residential complex—it’s a new way of living in Tijuana. We wanted to create a project that respected the landscape, offered high-quality housing, and contributed to the urban evolution of the city.

We are part of a new generation of architects, who seek to have a clear vision of the city, its inhabitants and their needs. We are always in constant search of the qualities of the environment that add up to the definition of our spaces.
We believe without a doubt that good architecture, made with responsibility, is efficient and profitable, from the moment it understands its surroundings and is aware of the real dimension of its impact on the city. We want our practice to have a positive impact on its environs and on those who inhabit it.
