The Social Hub Roma represents an innovative urban model that reinvents disused space, offering a social, cultural, and environmental experience open to the entire community.Created with an investment of over €114 million in the former San Lorenzo Customs area, The Social Hub Roma project is designed as a “hybrid hospitality” hub: it combines hotels, coworking spaces, event spaces, restaurants, and a large 10,000 m² public park. The aim is to create a place where students, travelers, professionals, and residents can connect, promoting networking, inclusion, and community.Strategically, the project focuses on urban regeneration and sustainability: the park, designed by landscape architect Antonio Perazzi, uses green solutions to mitigate pollution and promote biodiversity.
The Social Hub Roma San Lorenzo project integrates into the former customs area, enhancing the space and giving the neighborhood new public spaces. The large park, open to the city, creates continuity with the life of San Lorenzo, while mixed functions—co-working, study rooms, events, restaurants—attract students, residents, and professionals, promoting socialization and urban safety. The architecture maintains a dialogue with the existing industrial fabric and focuses on sustainability and everyday use, contributing to the regeneration of the neighborhood without distorting its identity.
The Social Hub Roma San Lorenzo project integrates sustainability through recognized standards and concrete actions. BREEAM certification guides the building toward high environmental performance, from energy efficiency to responsible resource management. At the same time, B Corp certification reflects the group's commitment to an ethical and inclusive model that is mindful of social as well as environmental impact. Completing the approach, the large public park with permeable surfaces and numerous new plants improves biodiversity, microclimate, and quality of life in the neighborhood.
The main strengths of The Social Hub Roma San Lorenzo lie in its hybrid hospitality model, which combines a hotel, coworking space, event space, and restaurant in a single ecosystem. The project also stands out for its strong integration with the neighborhood, thanks to the large public park and open spaces that encourage socializing and daily use.
Commitment to sustainability is another key feature, supported by standards such as BREEAM and the B Corp certified corporate vision. Finally, the variety of services, architectural care, and attention to the community make the hub a dynamic, inclusive, and attractive place for residents, students, and professionals.
Our Hub in San Lorenzo was born from the regeneration of the former customs house and the opening of Accademia Italiana, choices that reflect our commitment to social and environmental sustainability. The public park and inclusive spaces are an expression of our vision: to create connections, foster community, and bring to life a harmonious urban ecosystem, where hybrid hospitality and nature coexist to enrich the city.
