The project was born with the participation in the competition “La Natura si fa spazio” announced by Euroflora 2025, an international exhibition of plants and flowers. The project aims to be a means to reflect on nature seen as a regenerator of resilient cities, where the relationship between art and landscape, but also between man and creation, is fundamental. “Rifletto” is a space circumscribed by shiny walls within which to reflect on the conditions in which our planet finds itself, but also on the beauty that surrounds us. The project opens new perspectives that highlight the need to mitigate the effects of pollution and climate change through a new way of living in compliance with the criteria of environmental sustainability, biodiversity and landscape protection.

Riflesso is a space enclosed by shiny walls within which to reflect on the conditions in which our planet finds itself. The land made arid by the drought caused by climate change, welcomes small bushes of native essences, colorful and invasive, symbol of the resilience of Nature, between its cracks. In the center of the garden is a large Olive tree, symbol of regeneration. The kaleidoscopic play of reflections in the mirrors amplifies the image, expanding its real dimension. Riflesso is a dreamlike dimension. You arrive there intoxicated by the images of the colorful gardens that are reflected on the external walls, to immerse yourself in a situation that refers to the awareness of what is happening in much of the world, with the hope, however, of being able to resist and be reborn.
The triangular reflective perimeter walls were made with a recycled wood frame structure, covered on both sides with sheets of adhesive reflective paper. The walls enclosed an area filled with sand, on which pieces of rolls of upside-down grass were placed. An Olive tree, a symbol of hope, peace and rebirth, will be placed in the centre of the garden.Native plants and small bushes were placed between the cracks in the healthy soil, along with strips of grass, mulch, peat and sand. All materials are natural and come from nurseries near the exhibition site. No glue was used to fix the reflective paper, but metal pins. The project was selected (among 60 participants) in the competition organised by Euroflora 2025 and was created for the exhibition of the event, together with 9 other projects.
The project explores the theme of climate change and its consequences on nature and in particular on the landscape. Entering the garden, one leaves a known landscape, that of the reflected city, and enters a dry crack where, however, there is a symbol of hope. The main feature of the garden is to make the bystander the protagonist, who with surprise and amazement finds himself immersed both in the landscape reflected outside and inside the garden. By moving, he modifies the image that appears on the walls, making it fluid, alive and lively, like a film where the scenography remains fixed, while the protagonists continually change.
Innovative project that shifts attention from the anthropized landscape to the one distorted by climate change. A conceptual project, with a deep symbolic meaning. The project is consistent with the proposed theme, conceptually immediate and understandable to the general public.
The studio, based in Foligno and Bracciano, specializes in the design of public and private buildings, urban planning, building renovation, restoration and structural consolidation of historic buildings.
