The idea for the project originated from the need to integrate a new administrative building into an existing production campus in the İzmir Aliağa Organized Industrial Zone. The concept was developed based on the site's inherent conditions, the vision of the long-established brand (active for over 40 years), and the evolving dynamics of contemporary industrial architecture. The design process began with defining the building’s functional requirements and future projection, using the daily and periodic circulation patterns of the existing campus as key design inputs.

Eltaş Industrial Campus Project

The project is located in İzmir, a major port city with a strong industrial and cultural identity. The building complements its industrial surroundings while contributing to the progressive vision of the region. By integrating the new structure with the existing administrative building through bridges and defined open spaces, the design enhances organizational unity and reflects the collaborative nature of modern industrial campuses. The building acts as a reference project for the innovative and globally oriented brands emerging from the area.

Sustainability was a key concern throughout the design. The local climate—especially the hot summers—was carefully considered to reduce cooling costs. A central atrium promotes natural lighting and passive climate control, creating an open circulation scheme that reduces energy consumption. While no specific materials, technologies, or certifications are mentioned in the text, the strategies implemented focus on passive sustainability. There is no mention of awards or certifications in the provided content.

The new administrative building covers approximately 7,000 m² and is thoughtfully designed across a basement level, a ground floor, and two upper floors. It accommodates a variety of functional spaces including open-plan work areas that encourage collaboration and flexibility among employees, dedicated social and relaxation zones for informal interactions and breaks, well-equipped training rooms for continuous professional development, isolated workspaces that provide quiet environments for focused tasks, versatile event venues for hosting corporate gatherings, and a library designed to collect, preserve, and disseminate the extensive knowledge and expertise that the brand has accumulated over the years. A key strength of the project is its innovative spatial organization, which effectively responds to evolving work models and management styles commonly seen in modern industrial campuses. Furthermore, the building is seamlessly integrated with the existing administrative facilities on the campus through strategically placed bridges and open spaces, fostering organizational cohesion. Attention to climate-responsive design principles, including passive cooling strategies and maximizing natural daylight, further distinguishes this building, making it not only efficient but also sustainable and comfortable for users. Overall, the project exemplifies a forward-thinking approach that balances functionality, employee well-being, and environmental sensitivity within an industrial context.

Eltaş Industrial Campus Project
This project represents a contemporary response to the evolving needs of industrial architecture. It not only addresses functional requirements but also promotes sustainability, efficiency, and organizational cohesion. As İzmir continues to grow as a hub for global brands, this administrative building is poised to serve as a reference for future industrial developments, reflecting both innovation and sensitivity to local context.
