Naturactiv center: modularity, identity, and sustainability

The idea for the NaturActiv Center originated from the client's vision to create a production facility for compost with experimental crop fields that seamlessly integrate with nature. The concept was developed by focusing on the natural process of compost production and its reflection in architecture. Inspired by the surrounding grain fields, we aimed to merge modularity, identity, and sustainability. The wooden V-column structure mimics grain stalks, while the design principle "Grain by Grain" ensures that every architectural element embodies the natural growth process, emphasizing our commitment to sustainable development.

The NaturActiv Center is designed to harmonize with its rural surroundings, which are predominantly flat and surrounded by fields. The architecture mimics the natural beauty of the grain fields with its wooden V-column structure and solar-panelled roof, blending seamlessly into the environment. The design celebrates the natural landscape. The texture of the solar panels and the wooden roof structure creates a visual effect that reflects the structure of the grain. During different seasons, especially in autumn, the architecture especialy becouse of the semi translucency textile facade, changes trough the time of thhe day and glows in harmony with the golden fields, creating a serene and cohesive relationship between the built environment and the natural landscape.

The NaturActiv Center strongly emphasizes sustainability and eco-compatibility. We used sustainable materials such as wood for the V-column structure, sourced from natural origins, ensuring both environmental responsibility and aesthetic appeal. Solar panels on the roof provide energy self-sufficiency, reducing the building's carbon footprint. The modular design allows flexibility and adaptability, promoting long-term use and sustainability. This project, with its focus on sustainable practices and harmonious integration with nature, has yet to receive specific prizes/awards but embodies principles recognized by leading sustainability standards.

The NaturActiv Center is a unique architectural project that embodies innovation and sustainability. Its defining characteristic is the modular design, allowing flexibility and adaptability to various environments and needs. The wooden V-column structure, inspired by the surrounding grain fields, not only ensures structural integrity but also enhances aesthetic beauty. Solar panels on the roof provide energy self-sufficiency, aligning with our commitment to sustainable living. The project emphasizes the natural process of compost production, reflected in every architectural element, from the wooden construction to the visual effect created by the solar-panelled roof. The principle "Grain by Grain" represents our approach to sustainable development, integrating natural growth processes into the architectural design. The Center harmonizes with its rural surroundings, blending seamlessly into the environment and creating a serene still life that contrasts with typical industrial zones. The NaturActiv Center is more than just a building; it is a symbol of our dedication to sustainability, growth, and harmony between nature and human creation.

As the Roman master Vitruvius wrote over 2000 years ago, the fundamental principles of architecture (firmness, utility, and beauty) are fully embodied and significant in the works of the architectural firm Superform and their impact on society.
