Shift Series for FIVE by OKAY Studio Using a pentagon as the primitive form enabled Ed Swan to make each side of the tables and stools in the Shift Series from different American hardwoods in various orientations. Thus the simple act of moving an element has a tangible effect - something geometric and graphical yet straightforward and satisfying. When stacked these sections are an adjustable patchwork of wood grains and colour, with hundreds of combinations. When used in clusters they become a table and stools which nest together playing with their panelling geometry once again.
