Its lush Mediterranean context provides outstanding working conditions
The Orange Headquarters designed by Brenac & Gonzalez et Associés is situated in the extraordinarily exquisite Montpellier, France. The new offices of the mobile phone operator and a shared company cafeteria are located in the northeastern area of the city, in the “Majoria” office park – the former industrial site of La Pompignane. The project proposes a landscaped building surrounded by a large green context, which becomes part of the architecture.
Orange Headquarter is surrounded by a 28-hectare landscaped park originally part of the former IBM Campus. The building consists of four storeys with generous terraces, balconies and a courtyard all of which are meticulously kept with luxurious plantings. The central garden is shaded by umbrella pines, cypress, and olive trees, creating a verdant Mediterranean environment. The structure is composed of two broad wings carefully connected by a central landscaped lobby that is pronounced by a pergola rooftop. The 16,000 sq. m of office space, adjacent parking garage, cafeteria, and the nearby Saint-Roch train station are features available to the employees of the mobile phone operator. Orange Headquarters provides modern, healthy working conditions and optimizes views at every opportunity in order to maintain a strong connection with nature.
