Technology, aesthetics, functionality, and sustainability intertwine in Moscova 64, a residential building designed by Lombardini22 in Milan. Conceived as a boutique residential building, the project seamlessly blends tradition and innovation in a housing model that addresses both the challenges and opportunities of the city’s future.

While engaging with the surrounding buildings, the structure stands out for its contemporary design and a material palette centered on traditional materials, such as Ceppo di Grè stone, thereby contributing to its historical and urban context.

Located in an area of notable landscape sensitivity, Moscova 64 breaks up the visual monotony of the surrounding built environment through expansive glazed surfaces and terraces that impart brightness and airiness to the overall volume.

The complete demolition and reconstruction of an existing building enabled the creation of spaces that provide a high standard of residential comfort. At street level, residents are greeted by a double-height lobby with access to an automated parking system.

The second floor features a fitness area and swimming pool reserved for residents. The apartments, on the third to ninth floors, offer functional, customizable living spaces with panoramic city views. Although originally intended for building services, the top floor is now a two-level panoramic penthouse.

Designed to ensure maximum energy efficiency, Moscova 64 has achieved a Class A++ energy rating. With state-of-the-art MEP services, the structure uses groundwater to feed dual non-potable water systems and employs two versatile chiller units for the simultaneous production of hot and chilled water, thereby optimizing consumption and streamlining facility management. Further reducing the overall environmental impact of the project, the building includes variable-speed circulation pumps and a photovoltaic system.
