Rosewood Munich
Nestled in the historic center of the city, Rosewood Munich’s exquisite premises embody a new standard of luxury, blending seamlessly across two of the neighborhood’s legendary buildings: the former headquarters of the Bavarian State Bank and the adjacent Palais Neuhaus-Preysing, once an aristocratic residence. Every facet of the property’s interior design has been meticulously crafted, with each room and fixture carefully curated to blend local heritage with contemporary flair, flawlessly merging past and present.
The teams at Tara Bernerd & Partners and Hilmer Sattler Architekten worked closely on this project, focusing respectively on the interior design and the architectural restoration. Finally, of paramount importance was the involvement of Erlacher, a South Tyrolean company renowned for its expertise in custom-made interior design projects, whose pivotal role in transforming the designers’ visions into tangible reality cannot be overstated, providing fine finishes and elegant furniture.
Upon entering the lobby, guests are greeted by Erlacher’s reception desk and concierge table. The seating in this area invites guests to relax and enjoy the moment before proceeding to the many rooms and suites throughout the property. The Junior Suites have been fitted out by Erlacher with TV walls, fireplaces cladding, shelving, cabinets and everything needed to create a luxurious environment. Each room has a unique and striking design, with bespoke artwork and furnishings. For example, König Maximillian House, the largest of the apartments, has an impressive, vaulted ceiling and a central fireplace that connects the living room to the dining room, creating a truly exclusive feel.
In addition to its stunning accommodation, the hotel features event and meeting spaces that showcase some of the South Tyrolean company’s creations. These include the Grand Ballroom, which has Erlacher’s wall and door panels. Rosewood Munich offers its guests not only spaces for entertainment, but also for relaxation, such as the Asaya Spa, a two-story wellness area covering roughly 1,300 sq. m that combines the classic spa experience with innovative solutions based on a holistic approach. These spaces are also enhanced by the interior design and details curated by Erlacher, such as the tea room and furniture elements, including benches and loungers. The final touches are two elegant courtyards – Palaishof and Wintergarten – which extend the luxury beyond the walls of the buildings.
