Their medical centre (2007) in Almonaster north of the Huelva Mountains in the south west of Spain, a remote and underdeveloped region, is sited on a modest, narrow strip between a sports facility and a road. A modest structure without any extras, it matches the rural landscape with its holm oak farms, and is made of materials produced on the site. The traditional gable roof was inverted, creating maximum height on one side of the doctors’ offices. Its high, large windows enable patients to see the mountains from their own secluded position.
