Customization for Comfort in Hospitality

Personalization is what transforms a space from something functional into something unforgettable. It forges the soul of a project, becoming the detail that elevates the ordinary into the extraordinary. For Capoferri, a company specializing in doors and windows, customization is more than a service, it is a design philosophy. And in contemporary architecture, especially in the world of hospitality, it is becoming increasingly essential. In the luxury hospitality industry, craftsmanship, attention to detail and the ability to tailor even technological solutions are already at the heart of design. The goal is to create immersive, comfortable settings that do more than simply make guests welcome – they need to tell a story. Through the rooms, the common spaces and the quiet corners in which to relax, each element has to be designed to shape experiences.

Adopting just such an approach, Capoferri has recently played a part in several hospitality projects. Among them is Eden Hotel, designed by GLA. As the name suggests, the hotel is nestled in the greenery and calm of Villa Borghese in Rome. For the panoramic terrace, Capoferri developed wood-framed windows with a stainless-steel core and a special automated Pivot & Lift opening system, designed to offer stunning views of the Eternal City. In Tuscany, for the Colle Massari Castle complex designed by Archos, the company engineered a retractable roof for the swimming pool and custom vertical pivot doors that open directly onto the lush surrounds. The roof fully retracts, allowing natural light to pour in and creating a seamless connection with the outdoors. Still in Italy, Capoferri also worked on San Rocco Hotel overlooking Lake Orta. Here, the company developed a range of custom solutions in line with the architectural language of the project, including tilt windows, large pivot openings and custom arched counterbalanced sash windows. The result is a connection to the outside, especially in the restaurant area, which opens directly onto nature.

Capoferri’s expertise extends beyond Italy to projects like the Rosewood Hotel in Hong Kong, with its expansive suites designed by KPF. Here, Capoferri created a series of custom architectural elements using bronze and brass, including the main entry portals, the canopy and the façades of the presidential suite and the Japanese restaurant.

In Doha, for La Cigale Hotel, the company designed and engineered the dramatic façade of the sky bar – a bold, irregular structure of glazed panels and custom stainless-steel profiles. Fully sliding and stackable, the system enhances the elegance and contemporary design of the space.
