The project's predecessor was a long-vacant sanatorium, featuring a mix of Californian-style standalone buildings and natural gardens. To align with urban renewal trends, the owner decided to transform it into a new hub for technology design, research, and industrial office space, reinvigorating the area with vibrant innovation.
The site is rich in waterways and lush vegetation, offering exceptional natural ecological conditions as a foundation for landscaping. However, meeting the functional demands of modern industrial offices posed challenges. Leveraging these natural advantages, we aimed to create a purely ecological garden space, breaking away from traditional "office monotony" and fostering a harmonious coexistence of work and life.

The park design integrates with urban space by ensuring seamless connectivity to public transport, walkways, and bike paths, reducing car dependency and forming a multifunctional community. It incorporates green spaces, parks, and rooftop gardens, linking to the urban ecological network and using local plants for visual harmony. Public spaces like open squares and courtyards encourage social interaction and cultural activities, while pedestrian-friendly features enhance comfort and community engagement, boosting accessibility, ecological balance, and vitality.
The project prioritized sustainability and ecological compatibility through various measures. It preserved lawns, transplanted trees, and utilized natural water systems to minimize ecological impact while enhancing comfort. Road optimization improved traffic flow, added walking paths, and upgraded infrastructure to reduce emissions and resource use. Landscape restoration included clearing weeds, replanting vegetation, dredging rivers, and repairing structures to restore ecological balance and extend facility lifespans. These efforts achieved ecological harmony and sustainable development.
Located in a lush, water-rich area, the project leverages its natural ecological advantages to create a pure garden space, blending work and life while moving beyond traditional workplace norms. The design is minimalistic, using a green-dominated palette against grey, white, and black to subtly enhance building volumes. Sunlight illuminates the façades, casting light and shadow, while white walls framed by greenery exude a fresh, ethereal beauty. Trees act as focal points, harmonizing with the architecture to evoke the spatial depth of Chinese landscape painting.
Architecture bridges interior and exterior, showcasing the interplay of nature and modernity. The verdant exterior contrasts with the interior’s sleek, tech-driven elegance, creating a dynamic yet harmonious design. By seamlessly integrating nature into the industrial setting, the project balances architecture and ecology, infusing it with unique vitality.
When designing architecture, we should realize that it's not just about creating a physical space, but crafting a poetic ode that resonates with nature. Every detail, from forms to colors, light to shadow, trees to waters, seeks harmony with nature. Nature's rhythm, eternal and lively, resonates deeply with the architectural space. Here, architecture becomes a medium of dynamic energy, guiding inhabitants to feel nature's peace and timeless beauty, and to experience the growth of symbiosis.
