The idea for the project emerged from a desire to merge contrasting sensibilities - refined minimalism and bold artistic expression. Inspired by the dynamic between a client with a love for understated elegance and a designer drawn to the fantastical, the concept was developed as a dialogue between restraint and whimsy. Each design element was carefully chosen to reflect this interplay, creating a space that feels both grounded and imaginative. Through iterative collaboration and material experimentation, the home evolved into a layered, emotionally resonant environment.

The project forms a quiet yet confident dialogue with its surroundings. Rather than competing with the urban landscape, it offers a moment of pause - a retreat that contrasts the city's chaos with calm, curated intensity. The architecture subtly frames views of the outside, drawing in natural light while maintaining privacy. Materials and textures echo the local context but are reinterpreted in unexpected ways, creating a harmonious yet distinct presence that both belongs to and stands apart from its environment.
Sustainability was approached through mindful material selection and long-term durability. Locally sourced stone, reclaimed wood, and low-VOC finishes were used to reduce environmental impact. Passive cooling, natural ventilation, and ample daylighting limit energy consumption. The design prioritizes timelessness over trend, reducing the need for future renovations. While the project hasn’t pursued formal certifications, it was featured in The Plan Magazine, Frame Magazine, and Dezeen for its innovative approach to residential design.
"Pearls on Swine" is a bold, emotionally driven residential project that challenges conventional design norms. Rooted in contrast and duality, it brings together minimalism and maximalism, function and fantasy. The space is crafted as a living narrative - each room tells a story shaped by texture, light, and materiality. One of its core strengths lies in the seamless integration of everyday materials like stone, steel, tile, and glass into an environment that feels deeply personal and immersive. Custom-designed elements and unexpected juxtapositions - such intricate floor patterns meeting stark concrete walls - create moments of surprise and depth. The house balances openness with intimacy, offering fluid transitions between shared spaces and private retreats. Its defining characteristic is its refusal to conform, instead embodying the personalities of its inhabitants through layered, emotionally resonant design choices. “Pearls on Swine” is not just a home - it’s an experience, a crafted world where imagination and precision coexist
This home embodies our essence, bold yet deliberate, sophisticated yet spontaneous. Each space sparks curiosity, with textures and details that challenge conventions. Living here transforms routine into a continuous exploration of innovation and character.

Bio
We’re Multitude of Sins. A rather curious design studio, with a restless aesthetic & a taste for all things surreal.
We like to tell unexpected stories through our work using powerful combinations of personalities, materials, colors, and compositions. Our process is grounded in a whole lot of investigation & research, which is what gives us fodder to question & reinterpret the application of design.
Our studio is a sum total of multiple personalities/various talents and disciplines from diverse backgrounds all working as one entity –composing and building a catalog of creations which fascinate, excite, awaken curiosity, and even inspire others to dare (again we hope!).
