Stefan Punz, founder and managing director of SONOS Architektur, sat together with the clients—pen in hand, but without a clear concept. He simply began to draw, not knowing what he was drawing. His hand moved on its own, guided more by instinct than by intention. The form emerged quietly, almost unconsciously. Just days before, during the site visit, he had stood before the steep hillside unsure of how to integrate a structure into such a challenging terrain. But in that unplanned moment, the first lines of CASA B appeared—intuitive, raw, and deeply connected to the place.

CASA B is deeply rooted in its surrounding landscape. Carved into the hillside, the three-story structure follows the natural topography, resulting in a discreet entrance and a generous driveway that preserves privacy. The building opens up to the south with large glazed areas and terraces, offering spectacular panoramic views from every level. One of its defining features is the roofline, which appears to grow out of the terrain itself—blurring the boundaries between architecture and nature. This design approach creates a seamless transition from landscape to structure, making CASA B feel like a sculptural extension of its environment while offering shelter, openness, and elegance in perfect balance.
CASA B integrates sustainability through a thoughtful approach to design, material selection, and site orientation. The three-story villa is embedded into the hillside, taking advantage of natural topography for thermal insulation and energy efficiency. The southern orientation maximizes daylight, reducing the need for artificial lighting. The façade is clad in natural travertine, a durable, low-maintenance material with excellent thermal properties and timeless aesthetic value. Large glazed openings ensure passive solar gain and establish a strong indoor-outdoor connection. Interior spaces were designed with precision and longevity in mind, using high-quality materials and custom solutions tailored to the residents’ lifestyle.
CASA B is a sculptural three-story villa, defined by its striking, diamond-inspired form and a design language that blends boldness with subtle integration into the landscape. Nestled into a hillside, the building takes full advantage of the natural terrain. This strategic positioning not only creates a generous and elegant driveway, but also conceals the private living areas from view. Toward the south, the structure opens up dramatically, revealing expansive terraces and large glazed surfaces that frame breathtaking panoramic views from every floor. Clad in natural travertine, the façade expresses timeless sophistication while ensuring durability and low maintenance. The angular geometry of the architecture is both expressive and purposeful, shaping a unique identity while responding to sun paths, privacy, and spatial flow. Inside, the design continues with bespoke solutions tailored precisely to the lifestyle and wishes of the clients. Every element – from room layout to materials and built-in furnishings – is the result of detailed planning, craftsmanship, and creativity. The interior is not just designed to complement the architecture, but to enhance everyday life with individuality, warmth, and functionality. CASA B is more than a residence – it is a holistic architectural statement where form, function, and context come together in a refined and powerful harmony.
