The design concept was inspired by the idea of creating a building that evokes the image of a yacht, in direct connection with the river and the sea. Through sinuous forms and light colors, the core element of the River Palace project lies in the creation of large balconies reminiscent of the open decks of pleasure boats. The architectural concept focused on the use of a limited color palette and a strong attention to construction details, aiming to give the future building a distinctive and unique character.
Votazioni chiuse
The project is located at the intersection of two major roadways in the city of Pescara, currently undergoing an urban redevelopment initiative that includes the creation of a corniche running along the Pescara River to its mouth. River Palace becomes a key landmark, standing out within a diverse urban landscape made up of low-rise, older buildings. The selected colors further enhance the location and its relationship with the surroundings, while the building’s sinuous forms evoke the movement of water, lending it a sense of dynamism.
The River Palace project will be an N-ZEB (Nearly Zero Energy Building), characterized by dry construction masonry, a next-generation photovoltaic system with energy storage, heat pumps for both heating and cooling, and high-performance glazing. Each residential unit will feature an independent home automation electrical system, with remote access capability, in addition to a condominium lighting system equipped with timers. The finishes will include composite wood paneling, glass and steel railings, and breathable plasters. All lighting fixtures will be high-performance LED.
The strengths of the River Palace project lie in its location, the chosen architectural forms, the strong reference to the sea and boats, as well as the meticulous attention to construction details and architectural finishes. The creation of large balcony areas overlooking the Pescara River all the way to its mouth allows each apartment to enjoy outdoor spaces well beyond the summer months. What truly sets the project apart—giving it both uniqueness and iconic character—is its distinction from the surrounding urban landscape, which is otherwise composed exclusively of buildings shaped by a conventional 'construction-oriented' approach to design.
River Palace is positioned as a real estate development aimed at a refined and discerning clientele, reflecting the uniqueness of the future residential units, which are intentionally designed to evoke the image of a yacht.
