The idea came from observing the site and wanting to preserve the natural features of the place, respecting the morphology and special characteristics of the site.
The design concept is related to the green surface, which bends upward and creates work and recreation environments in the area below. The roof of the basement spaces is also used as a public space for equipped green gardens and a pedestrian path connecting the basement spaces to the roof spaces.

Southern front view

The project site is a hilly setting, rich in Mediterranean scrub vegetation, with plantations of olive trees, vines and wild plants. The project respects the characteristics of the site by using local plants, such as olive trees and local plants, on the roof garden to maintain local biodiversity and not alter ecosystem balances. The roof and part of the parking lots on the ground floor, are intended for public use. With this strategy, the private project is an engine for the development of the surrounding area and an activator of new spaces for public users.

The project took into great consideration the aspects of sustainability and eco-friendliness both in the typological choices of the building and in the materials and display of the main volume.
The main volume is developed under the green roof in the East-West direction, and has access on the South side thanks to a large glass wall composed of high-performance aluminum profiles and low-emissivity obscured glass. A large overhanging canopy creates shade over the entire facade, preventing heat from overheating the glazed wall. The driveway areas were constructed with draining asphalt and the concrete areas with local concrete and stone. The green terrace has the function of cooling the rooms below and creating an area that purifies the surrounding air.

The main volume consists of a large space of about 1,000 square meters, which can be divided according to need and events into multiple sectors or training areas. Events of 200 people can be accommodated, as well as events for 600-700 people, depending on need. The roof garden on the east side extends and creates a cantilevered volume that accommodates offices and a small meeting room on the second floor.
The intersection point between the volume dedicated to training and events and the office area accommodates the foyer entrance area, equipped with a large scenic spiral staircase connecting the second floor to the ground floor.

The offices have accessibility on the east side, along with private spaces for employee parking. The conference rooms and foyer have accessibility on the south side. Outdoor spaces are equipped with green flower beds and parking spaces made of permeable draining materials.

The client found the design interesting and appropriate for the site and the company's goals, but reserved implementation for future times.
