A journey showcasing love, inferiority complex it brought and how I overcame it.

It all started when society brutally declared that expressing love was a ‘sin’. An individual suddenly hands you a clean pair of glasses, changes your perspective just to say, “Love isn’t a sin, it’s a natural sentiment”, giving me a new vision to appreciate art.

Using the language of Architecture, I thought of expressing myself as a form of Gratitude. This gave birth to an enormous structure bringing its own set of challenges to construct. A miniature of the same was then planned and constructed for the sake of His words,

This building is deliberately set away from the city, allowing the natural beauty of nature to be experienced. The building is designed in such a way that nature can be seen continuously within the building, maintaining a balance between nature and the building has been the first priority here.

It is a building that does not seek to impress with grandeur but rather invites introspection within oneself.

An immense cemetery silence.

Architecture, at its essence, is not just about creating spaces—it is about expressing emotions, telling stories, and connecting with the human experience. The building is intentionally crafted in the crudest form, stripped of ornamentation, to strip away distractions and convey only the purest expressions of vulnerability, resilience, and connection.

The symmetrical design of the building, with different functions on each bays, reflects this delicate balance. Its layout, aligned with the chakras of the human body, symbolizes the interconnectedness of physical, emotional, and spiritual dimensions.

Profoundly influenced by the traditional Indian Crematorium, Smashan Bhoomi, this space has much more to say than its visceral impression. Built with a single material - Concrete, it is a gentle reminder to humanity, of returning what they owe from nature in the form of ashes.

Water bodies with continuous dripping of water reminds of those sacred rivers and rekindles the age-old Indian belief of repetitive reincarnation of the immortal soul, Atma. From the symbolic plumb bob connecting the sky to the ground to the skylight that captures vast openness, the building acts as a bridge between the finite and the infinite, the material and the spiritual.

The way of hope.
As the owner, the architecture has made you perfect
