The project was born from the ashes of the demolition of a 1970s villa. A new construction conceived with criteria of sustainability, energy saving and free solar contributions. The vision of a cutting-edge construction for an architectural project tailored to the needs of those who live there. Demolition and reconstruction to avoid consuming new land and regenerate the existing building sector. Architectural regeneration that also becomes social to improve the quality of life both of those who live in this architecture but also of those who live in the entire neighborhood
The project relates to the context in the use of Credaro stone, widely used in this area of the province of Brescia. But fundamentally the architecture was conceived by analyzing the orientations to make the most of the free contribution of the sun in the winter period, while having maximum protection in the summer period thanks to the cantilevered sails. It is a medium density residential area, with important areas left green: for this reason most of the services are developed in the basement showing a house of only 160 m2 compared to the total. It is therefore not massive and interprets the volumetric discontinuity of the surrounding town in a modern key
Made up of a mixed structure, concrete, steel and "plastbau" floors, pre-compressed polystyrene floors which allow large structural spans to be obtained with very little weight. Poroton used has closed cells insulated with graphite. The internal insulation is in natural fiber (with also lemon fibre) and not in glass wool. The wood of the windows and doors enjoys the best certifications. We have a rainwater collection tank for irrigation and pool water purification.Full electric house with 22 kW of photovoltaic and 40 kW of storage batteries.Heating and cooling with heat pump and controlled mechanical ventilation with dehumidification. In the first year of management, 99% of the energy used was produced by the sun.Only 1% was bought online! It requires little energy as it is very coinbetated.
The great strength is that it proves to be light and proportionate in space despite having important dimensions. It is an architecture that balances full and empty spaces in a very harmonious way thanks to the fragmentation of the volumes. The thin and slender portico sails give impetus and lightness, characterizing all my architectural projects. The residence plays with an alternation of solids and voids that create dividing wings and light transparencies: large windows create continuity with the external garden and the swimming pool area, while compact wall coverings close off some portions of the perimeter, to create areas of greater intimacy. The selected finishes convey a sense of order and minimalism: very smooth and colourful, they play with the combination of colours, sometimes neutral and sometimes lively, such as grey, white, pale green and coral red. The painting of the walls was carried out with the airbrush technique and not with a brush, to accentuate a soft and velvety effect.Every detail has been studied and selected to leave nothing to chance: of the highest quality, also in compliance with energy requirements, the selection of textures and finishes creates refined and relaxing environments.
The close collaboration between the client and the designers was a fundamental requirement in approaching such a great challenge: the choice to demolish and reconstruct a new building immediately seemed to the client and architect to be the most suitable solution to satisfy the energy and design needs. In fact, both parties shared the desire to create highly sustainable architecture, which is why numerous external consultants were involved, such as heating engineers and sector specialists.
PANIFICIO Laboratorio Artigianale di Architettura was born from the desire of Andrea Benedetti, an architect who graduated from the IUAV in Venice in 2010 with a specialization in Architecture for Sustainability, to recover the original Panificio Benedetti in Pompiano, an activity that the grandfather of the same name with his brothers, started in 1948. He continues his training and specialization path by approaching the "Lignius National Association of Italian Prefabricated Wooden Houses" acquiring the qualification of "Lignius Expert". He completes his training by becoming Cened Lombardia Energy Certifier in 2012. Andrea Benedetti is from always sensitive to sustainable construction, integrating criteria of functionality, cost containment and aesthetics. Refined minimalism and valuable creations to give voice to the client's needs and desires.
