Adhering to the concept of landscape urbanism, the dialogue between city and landscape, as the carrier of each other, takes place constantly in the process of social development, and at different stages of development, these dialogues also seek for the possibility of interaction at different levels. As a living room park of Zhuhai itself, Haitian Park also provides opportunities for urban landscape and landscape urbanization. Our task is to rebuild the symbiotic relationship between the city and the scenic spot while fully respecting the site itself. Our inspiration is based on the essential elements of the site, the Haitian Park, located at the main entrance of the city, will be the first to serve as a living room garden at the city level. In terms of form, we did not adopt the traditional simple geometry, but instead integrated the rich elements around the site into our design. Two morphological directions were finally determined. One is the lighthearted form of broken lines generated by deducting the underlying traffic flow. The second is to consider the public image of Haitian Garden, from the perspective of the city as a starting point, showing a longitudinal curve shape, intended to create a soft and comfortable living room atmosphere. Of course, as a landscape design scheme, the consideration of color must not be ignored. Zhuhai, as a major tourist city, adds dramatic color changes to the Haitian Park, which is also an indispensable factor for a successful urban park.
Integrity principle -- analysis of peripheral functions and traffic, strengthening the walking and visual connection between the two sides of the expressway; Combined with the leisure display function and the planning exhibition hall on the north side, the overall "sea sky" living room is designed.
The principle of human nature -- through the construction of ecological tour space, establish a healthy, sunny, close to nature life concept, to provide people with the image of Zhuhai City, Zhuhai City to become the living room name card.
Principles of Ecological Restoration and Sustainability -- Respect the status quo, and then optimize the status quo; The tree species with better landscape effect should be retained to oppose biological invasion. Excavate and utilize the local plant community to carry on the landscape collocation, reduce the later maintenance cost;
Safety principle -- pay attention to the environmental safety of public space, create pleasant, suitable for water and suitable for various activities of urban landscape space.
Haitian Park will be the gateway of Zhuhai city living room park, the city image of Zhuhai plays a vital role; Meanwhile, together with the planning exhibition hall, it will become the new name card of Zhuhai's foreign cultural exchange. In the planning and landscape design, we strive to integrate many features of urban exhibition, citizen leisure, festival activities and popular science education. At the same time, park design requirements and ecological, environmental protection combined, and strive to create a world advanced level of low carbon urban living room park.
